The second row seats CAN be removed in everything but the very top trim. So if that's the feature that you want, there are plenty of options.

I love the empty circle where the push-button start would be on fancier trims. It'd make a great spot to mount a Pop Socket holder/mount. I usually buy base trims, so I am constantly inundated with blank buttons where power roof, side doors, heated seats, etc. buttons would be.

@Kia Hyundai Channel You don't mention it but I see the passenger view camera mounted on ceiling. I know it is not operational on the LX, BUT, can you have it activated, programed, aftermarket somehow?

Refreshing to see a standard model review. Ours is due for delivery early/ mid November. Called the S here in Oz. Choose the base model specifically to minimise electronics. Other than " unnecessary stuff " mechanicals ( wheel size exception ) identical to every other version. Will be touring Australia towing a 1300kg camper van. ( up to 200kg on the towball which is nice. Fancy electronics = potential trouble when 500kms from a dealer. Two large dogs so middle row seats will be out from day 1. The Engel ( beer fridge ) will sit down in the rear cavity where 3rd row seats go. Ordered the diesel for fuel availability and towing ability.

Anything 2022 and newer with push button start should have remote start on the key fob. So in this case, the LX+ model will have that.

Hi Peter, you've mentioned the 'star' button set up to select AA/ACP, that's great if it isn't wireless. My '21 Rio automatically starts in ACP for me whenever I start up the car. Lane follow/keep on base, windshield heater and rear temp controls, but no heated seats on the Canadian base models?!? Odd cost saving, oh well, I suppose I really don't need those much in the Vancouver area, but most of the country could really use them.

Yeah, so I mention that star button for a few reasons... My car also launches Apple CarPlay right away when I'm plugged in, but because it uses the full screen, sometimes I want to have CarPlay in the background, and the radio up, so being able to tap back into CarPlay with the tap of a physical button can be helpful for me. A lot of people end up leaving that button unassigned, so to me, it makes sense to assign it to this purpose and change it if you see a better use for it. Lastly, the lack of heated seats in the base model... I'm not sure if that's cost savings, or if it's intentionally left off to spur people to move up one trim level. The higher-spec car probably makes Kia Canada a tiny bit more money than the base model. Sometimes it's cost savings, and sometimes it's about enticing people into the nicer vehicle.

Does the Kia Sedona Carnival whatever 2021 have a function in the key fob to disable the car as an anti-theft device? If so how do you turn it on and off? And if it's in the anti-theft device can you turn on anything electrical in the car for instance an overhead map light?

I'm not aware of the feature that you're talking about. It's possible that an aftermarket remote start may have something close to what you're referring to, but the regular key fob doesn't have that function.

The prices on these are ridiculous… 34k for that base model… it’s 2023, not to have power doors or remote start (especially for a MPV aka minivan) is like not having Bluetooth (every car has Bluetooth now). Cloth seats and the back up cam sucks.. for 34k! Be fair and knock it to 28k.. that’s fair.

I prefer the manual key ignition. Most other minivans have the start/stop button though.

My dad bought the '22 Black LX with the seat package and seat heaters, totally sweet ride and I might even get one. The LX comes with 17 inch wheels but I like the 19's that come on the EX way better....I like the roof rails to but that only comes on the SX.. sigh** what to do😭🤣

Yes, we film in Canada, so when I show pricing, I'm showing a the exact pricing of the vehicle in front of me. There isn't always an American equivalent, often your vehicles are equipped just a little differently. Secondly, I don't talk about MPG because my understanding is that the American test cycle is different than the Canadian one. So when I show the Canadian mileage and the American MPG, they don't always come out to the same number when converted to each other. At the end of the day, pricing and mileage can be found easily on the Kia website. Most of our video digs further into the details compared to what's on the website. It's not that I don't want to share American equivalent information, it's just that it's not always practical.

Kia Canada sold out of their first year's allotment of Kia Carnivals in the first months. They've got a vehicle that is so desirable, that they're selling it faster than they can make it. At this point, it wouldn't make sense for them to add models as they still need to catch up with demand of the vehicles that they already make. Also, I'm not sure that people would like it as much as you think they would. Those extra seats would be pretty tiny.

Haha! That's the first thing we asked when we had our official training on these vehicles. They said no, so when we got the vehicle, we tried. It can't be done. It would have been cool, but North American models can't do that.

Great question, this one doesn't have either of those, but if you step up one trim, you can get them on the LX+ model.

@@paulguanco7902 Adaptive cruise is on higher trims again. The easiest way to see all of the specs is to check the vehicle out on www.kia.ca That will allow you to see if the vehicle that you're looking at has the specs that you want.

Ok. Had ours a couple of months now, about 3200kms. Positives. Impressive for the entry level model. Great to drive, good visibility. Lots of fruit, still working out exactly what. Dogs like the room and space with all 3 second row seats out.( Theres a trick removing them, a small spring loaded catch needs releasing ) Had to load 2.2 meter fence posts, dropped row 3 seats and not a problem. The diesel is really responsive, this beast has some pickup! Also amazing economy at 6.2 litres /100 to date. ( no tow stats yet ) Negatives. This is subjective. The lane keep assist. I dont like it so turn it off, also we will tow so think it might be hazardous to use while towing. While unlikely, if the driver ignores the lane steer correction and panics ( doesnt slow or correct ) the vehicle can get into an exagerated somewhat scary oscillation. ( Did that on a wide empty road at moderate speed to test ) The drivers seat could be better. Im only 80Kgs and the left hand cushion feels as though its collapsed, back to the dealer with that. Think i read some markets have a " seat package " definately worthwhile if it provides better padded seats. Conclusion. Very good value package, we get a 7 year warranty in Oz. Is it better than our traded ( crazy market at the moment, more for a trade in than a private sale!! ) 2016 VW Multivan Comfortline ? Taken as a whole, we think so.

Kia has the 5yr60 Bumper to Bumper 10-year 100k mile Powertrain only on the First new owner. If it transfers to a second or third owner it drops to the remainder of 5-year 60,000 powertrain. I wish Kia didn't do that for people that like to buy slightly used😢.. I think they kind of force you to buy new in that regard

Hi Kim, this vehicle is equipped with an anti-theft immobilizer. In Canada, they have been required on all new vehicles since September 2007!
