This is going to be like the pokemon gen 1 nostalgia issues. Definitely going to be focused on origins/old concepts for Ninjago. Like pilots and Season 1 remakes or re-telling. Basically i wont be shocked if its about the Green Ninja or OG 4 or something...

Here are my hopes for the film 1 they get a good action detector maybe some of the people who worked on Shang chi John wick kings men the raid 2 get some new young talent I know it won’t probably get butts in seats but I think it’s perfect for new starts and they could have them a bit younger for like trilogy 3 don’t stuff it full of lore for the fans do what the show did slowly leave breadcrumbs to not confuse general audience 4 don’t rely to much on cgi some practical effects would be good and give the vfx crew some time to cook 5 don’t make the rest of ninjas side characters give them enough screen time to be fleshed out

Awkwafina as the water ninja would be funny. She did base her name off a water brand so it'd make sense to have her play a water-themed character. I think it'd be difficult because awkwafina is pushing 40 and the Ninjago ninjas are stated to be like, teenagers but im sure with cgi they can work something out.

I’m looking forward to this movie, but with how much could go wrong, I DO NOT want them to make this canon, Ninjago is in such a good place right now with dragons rising, and personally I just think that with all the risks attached to a live action Ninjago film, making it canon to the mains storyline is just not worth it, it could mess so much up for the show. ninja HAVE to be at least like, 18 or 20s, not like 30s or 40s. try and find some good up and coming talent or already established young actors. and the villain has got to be garmadon right? I mean he's THE ninjago villain. also, mayhaps a pg-13 movie??? I could see the action being insane, especially with the right choreographer. theres a lot they have to nail with this but with the original writers its gonna hopefully be amazing. maybe cover the story of the pilot episodes or season 1 rise of the serpentine? guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I can see this either flying high, or crashing and burning. Or it's both where the story is one the best stories of this decade, but it was excuted very poorly and the marketing only focus on someone like Jay, who has pretty bad jokes to say. Imma throw my 2 cents in the ring and say that this film, either is a retelling of the pilot, but involes the Green Ninja and Nya. Or it's a cannon story where the show leads up to the film, which is a bad idea
