One issue I had with the movie is that the first half of the movie felt a little rushed, but it did make up for it in the later half. I really enjoyed it when watching it on the 19th for opening and it was overall a great film.

Sonic 1 was a generic movie with a sense of heart and forgettable human characters. Sonic 2 was really cool, with knuckles and tails elevating this story, it just got better with super sonic. Sonic 3 is peak cinema and for sophisticated adults. Knuckles was mid.

Sonic 1 was a good origin movie and a great introduction to Sonic and Eggman 7/10 Sonic 2 is great. With Tails and Knuckles now joining the team, continuing the story 8/10 Sonic 3 is either a 8.5 or 9/10. My only issue is the first 10 minutes felt rushed. Everything else is great

Another thing that felt rushed was that it was at least 5 mins in the movie and they already were just introducing Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles to Shadow and immediately were fighting him, barely had time for them to process who Shadow really was. But, other than that and those two rushed scenes u two mentioned, this movie was by far the best movie of 2024.

Critic's views do have a purpose and it's judging the film on its own merits/structural foundation removed from whatever audience it's aiming for. With that in mind it's easy to see why critics weren't so thrilled with the Mario movie: take out the vapid fanservice to the games and what's left is a fairly generic plot that might keep kids entertained with all the bright colors but adults are generally harder to please. With Sonic its references aren't being obvious that they're references to another medium (they work in context of the movie regardless if you experienced the games or not) and even when Sonic makes a cringe or unfunny quip, he has the earnest spirit to make scenes work in spite of that.

I havent seen any of these movies ill be honest. Ive known about Sonic as a character for a long time now but I wasnt allowed to play games as a kid until middle school, so I didnt grow up with the series like a lot of people did. My main exposure was jow annoying he is in Smash snd the cringe from the fanbase which honestly put me off. Its pretty cool to hear these movies keep getting better though, maybe I shouldn't have written them all off. Maybe ill give them a chance sometime

The 3 Sonic movies and Knuckles show. 1. STH (Sonic The Hedgehog) is the best movie in 2020 because everyone saw the trailer back 2019, but Noun of the people are not happy for the OG version is the worst. Finally, it goes better from the games. The movie it is awesome, and it goes 10/10. 2. STH:2 (Sonic The Hedgehog: 2), after 2020, there is COVID-19 in March-13-2020, and 2 years later, here is the 2nd movie it amazing movie and it goes 10/10. 3. Knuckles, I like the show for 6 episodes, and it took me longer to finish the show and goes to 10/10. 4. STH:3 (Sonic The Hedgehog: 3) I didn't see the new movie yet, but another Nick, please don't tell me yet.

to be honest, i'm kind of glad that they took their time with each movie. one problem with marvel (that was present even in phase 3 but got worse with phases 4 and only stopped in phase 5 due to a writers strike) is that they release a LOT of movies each year. releasing 1 movie each 2/3 years, meanwhile, makes each movie seem fresh.

Sonic 1: 7.5/10 - A trial origin story that was a decent family flick with Sonic characters in it (Barely). Sonic 2: 8.5/10 - The sequel that raised the stakes and actually introduced more of Sonic’s world and characters while only being held back by a human subplot. Knuckles: 5/10 - A waste of a tv show with not nearly as much Knuckles as there should be, instead we focus too much on…. Wade Whipple. The ONLY blemish on this cinematic universe so far. Sonic 3: 9.5/10 - PEAK. SONIC. FICTION. The epic threequel that cemented the Sonic Cinematic Universe as a legit player at the cinemas. Literally the perfect live action Sonic movie and quite possibly the best live-action video game film ever made. Seriously how did these movies getter BETTER with each installment? It’s crazy to think about.

I think the critics were a bit too hard on it, but I think the overall trend is correct. The first movie was fine, but it definitely was the worst of them. It was a "safe" movie. They kept the Sonic characters to a minimum, focused on Earth, and it was in the territory of "drop a classic CG character into the modern world for an adventure" sort of thing. With that one doing well (after saving it due to the redesign), they could focus more on making a Sonic movie for the second. That one was better than the critic reviews. It wasn't flawless, but it was trending in the right direction. But the third one is where they got it right. The human cast was used as much as it was really needed. They stuck with the foundation built up by the first movie, but Sonic 3 was truly a Sonic movie. It was really good and deserves the praise.
