Just hearing Sgt Maj say “There you go!” Makes me feel like I can do anything

This right here is what I miss most about the Army. Been out since 2005 and I can recall almost every company run I've been in. First time I heard this cadence was in BCT back in '98 and fell in luv with it ever since. Hittin 40 yrs old in a few months Lord willing and I'm still a lean and mean fightin machine Hooah ! Hard work baby. Get some !

Am i the only one who gets motivated from running cadences during company, battalion, and brigade runs?
@JohnDoe-gn2dn6 жыл бұрын
Damn, they're motivated. Hard to actually get a formation to sound this good unless they're motivated (from what I've seen) great job fellas
@ThePizzaGoblin6 жыл бұрын
Cadences like this were the only thing that kept me going on some of the more grueling runs during training. I still have a bunch of the running and marching cadences memorized 7 years later. Sing them in the shower, when I'm walking to classes or work, and of course when I go running (when ever I actually get off my ass to run).

Finally, we have a video of the cadence being sang.

I am Air Force and 1999 I was with the 2ID (CRC Korea) and we did joint PT...hate to say it but Army gave me a PT "reality check" that day. We ended PT with Hardwork running Cadence...I loved it; first time I heard it. I was so moved I almost wanted to join the Army...almost.

I literally put this on and run with it. Seriously helps keep my mind off trying to train to run past my 5k run. Wish I had a bad ass group like this by my side. Running sucks :( lol.

@deanwhaley14666 жыл бұрын
Montreal Patrick my dude the only advice for you is study hard, getting smoked for days is terrible but when you get the chance always always always find a way to decompress. The little things matter to Keep you sane. Don't be a shit bag. Get that push up form down pat, run like someone is chasing you, be an animal during the sit ups and never I mean never fucking give up. They will break you if you let them. 1-19 echo company. Rock steady. Infantry. Hooah.

MY WORDS ~ Leadership ability is something that can not be learned by reading the well known book, "How to win friends and influence people". My opinion is, in reference to our Blessed America; Find a sincere way to fire-up, create confidence, give tools to the youthful, highly spirited, American boys and,great men will follow. Leadership is earned. *ABOVE IS A TRIBUTE TO MY SONS.
