Something like that happened in 2010 when President Obama was in Seattle. A small plane entered restricted airspace and didn't respond immediately to warnings. Two F-15's were scrambled out of Portland and practically the entire Pacific Northwest could hear (and yes, feel) the sonic booms they created as they screamed up the I-5 corridor. The lovely couple in the small plane realized their mistake when confronted by the two fighter jets, landed in a hurry and all was Golden Grahams.

This one, lone delta wing bomber was cruising along flying relaxed, no rush. As the other planes were closing in they were about to call it a win for them. The Hustler pilot asked if they all had him cold, they said yes they did. The Hustler said, "Good. Bye.". He dropped altitude down to the carpet, hit HIS engines afterburners and all. And disappeared! From sight and off radar! Seems it was built to pop up over one horizon, run in, drop a nuclear payload of bombs accurately and run away to dip below the other horizon. In nine seconds. Nine seconds! If it ain't true, it ought to be.

The only flight that doesn’t give way is an Angel Flight. That’s the flight bringing home the bodies of American heroes.

I think there's a list of aircraft that AF1 has to hold for. You are correct. Angel flights are one of them. Medevacs and short span donor organs as well. I heard con-air was on the list as well but that sounds like a myth.

Angel Flight is not just flights "bringing back the bodies of American heroes" - it's any flight certified as a medical emergency. It could be someone who's been in a RTA, or a child traveling for an urgent transplant, not just people who chose to go to war in other countries, then paid the price.

A fighter pilot did have permission directly from GW Bush to fire on airliner heading towards cleveland on 9/11. The pilot opted to hold fire based on what he could see in the aircraft. People seemed to be acting normal. Turns out the plane had a radio issue. A few more pilots were ordered to NYC with their unarmed jets since they were already in the air for practice. They were told they may need to slam their jets into another aircraft if anything else came in needing taken down prior to aimed jets arriving. Of course they would eject prior to impact....

While ATC affords the presidential family of aircraft the courtesy of priority, they do not have right of way as you indicated and must remain unde the control of air traffic control as far as is safe for them to do so.

For a time I watched a lot of videos with ATC recordings (mostly from JFK I think). From that I got the impression that complete readbacks only get used when there seems to be a real risk of misunderstanding. So there might be a lot of trust between ATC and the AF1 pilot (as well as no risk of collision with other aircraft), and thus they only bother with the minimum information exchange needed.
