Appreciate the video, knowing BSM is revived and the sound quality opinions concerning these reissues. Rather than interested in knowing how these compare to the old cd and streams (doesn’t take much to improve upon those), I am more curious how these compared to the other vinyl versions. Hopefully these are sound quality improved. There is only so much that can be done mastering wise with these type production styles. Loudness wars were all over the cds and the 2020 RSD was “ok”. But, then again, Siamese Dream was able to be definitively improved upon with the last reissue, so maybe these Linken Parks are at least one step up or more in sound improvement. Not a big fan of split up records but I am torn that these may have benefited from the 45 rpm simply due to wax restraints. Distortion may not be present but there are other benefits such as high end info that may have helped with the drums. But, I havent heard them so no judgement, just more of a wonderment. I like this guy from BSM. Under 3 digits for a One Step, no frivolous packaging and no BS fancy renaming of the same vinyl formula that everyone uses. Levelheaded non-elitist approach to very good sounding records. Im all for less shuck n jive and more reasonably priced sound quality improved reissues from the 90’s and 00’s. If these do indeed gain the rep as the best versions then more power to success. My hope also is to see these type more adventerous titles finally get some respect IF the improvement is enough to reissue. Seems this would be this companies wheelhouse for 90s and 00s bands. Don’t think its WB but would love to see someone do Superunknown right and match or surpass the 320 German version. The other big 3 grunge bands have been done well to great, Superunkown deserves the best. Good luck to the company and those involved.

I can’t wait to get myself a decent set up to finally listen and compare the difference between the first pressings I own of all 3 albums, and the One Step Editions.

A few years ago, just the idea would be unbelievable of a boutique ZZ Top box set release in the same month as trailblazing Linkin Park one steps and Stone Temple Pilots as a 2x45 AAA release. I hope the BSM series does well so we can get even more 00's titles in audiophile quality.

I have no use for ultra-expensive One-Step, UHQR, etc. I also don't need a stupid box for each release. I just want well (re)mastered pressings of more modern titles, with premium jackets...the Rhino HiFi and (regular) Analogue Productions releases are the perfect blueprints in my opinion. $40/Lp, $60/2lp...high quality gatefold covers, inserts with useful info are always appreciated. Original labels should be replicated (I hate the Rhino HiFi custom labels). The recent Rhino Black Sabbath and AP STP 'Purple' are perfect examples.

Ordered on tagged on Aug 9th in Whittier California and still tagged as awaiting processing in Whittier California on Aug 20th! I recall the same thing happened when I ordered Black Sabbath direct from Rhino, that Whittier California held it for 2 weeks and then it had to cross North America to get to me. This is THE LAST time I deal with Rhino/Warner and the DHL service from Whittier California. "DHL Express"....what a joke and a huge disappointment. #neveragain

I ordered these and they arrived today. Shipping box was not great - it was squished and torn. However the records were protected with edge packaging on all four corners so the boxes and records had no damage. But my heart sank when I saw the shipping box.

All the same, does it really matter? Heck, 24/96 would be plenty. We've blown past the point of diminishing returns in what we can audibly hear, there's more to be gained by ensuring a release is as close to the recording quality as possible. Even then, if the recording quality isn't as good as others then that's as good as it gets outside of the artist re-recording everyting.

58 year old genXer, was there for the heights of analogue recordings, and the worst, also there for the beginning of digital AAD CDs ... if the sound matters and you're spending $99 on an easily effected extraction of music on an electrical/mechanical transducer (record player), then the room you listen in with its acoustics matter as does the quality of kit your using, so really these albums are not really aimed at the typical fans of the band, but those who have the money and gear to sit smugly and brag of how they can hear the mouse fart at the 2nd minute of track 2 ... and this will be supported by the band collectors who must have everything in their collection but won't spend $30,000 to a couple of $1000,000 on kit to extract it , so really it's nice to own but really just wankery, as music of this ilk you want to crank up and blast the windows out and any cd lp you can do that.... Basically, there are limits on the kit you own to play your music, the environment and your hearing, if it's truly about the music ... enjoy what you have, and like the great, John Peel said, "Listen, mate, life has surface noise." Love the shows though guys ❤😊

Honestly, if that's the case, keep your shit. Later after Research: Found a Shop in the Netherlands. Only cheap price for 141,85 Dollars each. You can put your discs where it is completely dark. It's simply a nasty rip-off

I ordered all three and waiting for them, but I really would have liked them cut from tape. I don’t care they are digital recordings, they haven’t been done from tape before. My curiosity is that perhaps like a digital instrument can be mixed analog, if you mixed a digital recording through an analog console, then it wouldn’t sound the same. There must be a reason they mixed to tape, but we keep hearing it was recorded digital so it can’t be AAA. Well who cares if it’s ALL analog in this case, if half analog is the best case (DAA?) then I’d like to own that. This Linkin Park/Green Day fan is also an audiophile, and for this price point I think you should pull out all the stops. I’m deciding between these one steps, and the Atlantic 75, UHQRs, Rhino Hi-Fi titles and such. I’m a massive Linkin Park/Green Day fan, that was my youth man! but I’m also a big fan of all kinds of other music now and when I’m buying vinyl, it’s a budget decision about what I can’t get on any other format, which is primarily anything cut from tape. Leave it to us to decide if it sounds better than cutting from digital, rather than telling us it’s a digital recording, and tape from the era isn’t great etc it would have been an interesting listen

If you buy a $100 record to play it on a $150 record player you are doing something wrong. It's totally unneccessary to test these on an Audio Technica LP60. The Linkin Park fan who doesn't care so much about records but wants to have everything will keep these in shrink wrap until the record is warped and the shrink is stuck to the cover...

The record is not in shrink. The heavy duty box is shrink wrapped. There is little chance of these warping if left unopened (and stored correctly). I played all three today - they are truly wonderful!
