Put some good structure in there next, some rock piles, branches, trees, etc. It will keep ur bait alive for longer and let them reproduce

You could put a under water light so all the bait will gravitate to it at night and the bass come and feast and you can get a better look at how much bait you have

The pond is so sweet!!!! Great video for sure guys!

I think more structure for the bass and bait to hide. Also making the pond deeper little bigger will help with the bass to grow so they are just in one spot all the time.

Install a maggot feeder like The Wooded Beardsman for growth and thickness on them fish!
@normsweeney31162 жыл бұрын
The trout might be a little more of a hassle and more expensive, seeing as you'll most likely have to install an air pump system to keep the water highly oxygenated

Maybe add an aerator in an accessible area so the minnows and bluegill congregate there. Then the bass know where to go for snack time. 🤙
@brianshort21012 жыл бұрын
The longer ones are school bass and the short thick ones are solo ambush hunters and are probably eating better then the schoolers with no shad in there. Js
@absoluteangling42142 жыл бұрын
You need to get some big bluegills one that are to big for the bass to eat that will spawn and keep a food source in your pond..idk if you established a population of bait fish before adding the bass or not but that's always a good thing to do before adding the sport fish
@ayuntrindade55092 жыл бұрын

@frankthorntonle.w88442 жыл бұрын
You need an oily fish like shad, or smelt to feed them bass and alot of them. Also don't fish them for a while so they put weight on
@absoluteangling42142 жыл бұрын
Getting a population of cray fish is good too the produce a lot and pretty fast but they should be established before adding bass
@kevenbeene45852 жыл бұрын
You can put a dock out in youre pond and move youre feeder to the middle. it makes it so the prey source has to come away from cover and is easier to get

You need to trim down some of that grass on the edge . And put a solor fountain to air rate a little . And get more minnows.

Maybe the ones that where thin where ones you’ve broke off on and they are passing hooks. 🤔
@brotherskrillrc60422 жыл бұрын
Maybe the bass are content on just grazing since theres no other predators to contend with so there not eating everything that comes by and very slowly growing, but that's a hard one because another predator might eat to much then bass wont grow much either

If you ever in north Mississippi give me a shout. I got 600 acres with 10 ponds on the place. And 3 of the biggest lakes in Mississippi is right by my house. Closest one is 15 minutes second being 25 minutes and the third being 40 minutes. And have 3 private likes I got permission to fish. Plus Mississippi has the cheapest non residential fishing license in the country. And known around the world for big crappie the world record crappie was caught in Enid lake. Which is the second farthest from my house. And it’s not hard to catch a 4+ crappie in Grenada lake. Big bass and 5 pound small mouth also.
