When I go after catfish, I use fresh chicken liver, shad, and triple s stink bait. Triple s used to be know as Sonny's super sticky.

I think he has at one point. You probably could go through the video archives and find each video about the ponds and in one of them he says the depth in each. Pretty sure he took his paddle kayak with the fish finders on it out into the middle of both ponds.

Shrimp is the best store bought bait for big blue catfish and chicken liver for channel catfish the catfish bait in the fishing isle is for bullheads and turtles

You need to try either team catfish fiber nuggets or catfish Charlie shad dip or cheese dip

Start feeding them floating cat food a few times a week during growth season, supplement this by mowing around po d regularly so insects get tossed into the pond. My dad did this on our 1 acre pond growing up for years, we got huge, meaty chonkcats that always got riled upid they even heard the tractor coming. To them tractor = food. You could watch the water roll with the fish lol.

You need to call Letsdig18 and dig that catfish hole out and then connect the two ponds. Maybe start putting the panfish in the bass pond first and drain the crappy side dry so you can add structure and clean it out.

That would be one badass collaboration. And end up being a couple really cool fishing ponds. I've seen a few pretty good ponds here on the Tube but someone needs to really go in depth with one and go super serious with the habitats under the water, rocky out crops and maybe even a small cave, Aerators, heaters when needed, with both of their knowledge those ponds could turn out to be the 2 baddest fishing pond experiences ever!!! Oh yea, can't forget about a cool creek and waterfall from those pond guys dudes on here. I dk their channel name

I used to to use the CJs on a treble hook at my grandpas pond in Kansas and catch 20-30 decent size channel every time. It’s money. I caught a big flat head on a 6th sense 25x crankbait Saturday in the Fort Worth trinity. It inhaled it 😂

Go to Walmart have them cut you some garlic bologna half inch thick cube it up put it in a zip lock bag on the dash of your truck for 2-3 days. Toss out a 20 peices and your lines and it won't take long.

We had a farm pond that my dad kept stocking regularly with catfish, and the favorite bait was cheese hotdogs. We actually had a little contest similar to what you guys were doing, and it wasn’t close! I now buy a package every time we’re going to any ponds!

those little ponds need deep dredging and lots of constructed ledges. think a rice patty mountain but much much steeper.

Best thing to do when the catfish are small is feed them catfish food and bread. We have some store here where I live that you can buy out of date bread for dirt cheap. Once the catfish get big enough they will start eating bait fish. The brim will grow faster than the catfish they get to big to fast for the catfish to eat

What you do is dug a pond extension next to the catfish pond with brush and habitat that you fill in. Than when you are ready breach the other pond and connect it into one big pond out of the 2. Oh and add some water

Honestly I think flathead catfish would best suit your fishing style. They eat live bait and they are very aggressive! Could be way more fun for you yo try and catch them Honestly

The flatties have gotten pretty big in northern IL. I started fishing flathead a few years ago. You still catch plenty of channels. I use mostly gills, and bullheads as bait. The bullheads live very long and hold the hook better.
