Anyone else notice that ALL PERSONAL PROPERTY is consumed, but the grass, trees, and leaves somehow managed to survive?! *The most selective 'wildfire' I've seen since Chili and Maui* I bet there's a REDEVELOPMENT project on the books for the area's that burned!

That could also mean that houses (build in the 70th and 80th) had pretty lax fire retardant measures in place. Actually, in the 90th and early zips, building codes were adopted that should have stopped these mass fires from happening, but they were not enforced overly strictly. These houses have roofs of asphalt without any fire protection, windows that won't last 20 minutes in a fire, bushes looking pretty, and being a fire hazard all around them. So the homes transported the fire faster than the trees could. Resulting in trees being too late to catch fire while the houses transported the fire too fast. They were simply overtaken by the fire. In the countryside, the fire travels slower (downhill particularly), so everything catches fire.

This is so ridiculous, there is an absolute way out of these fires. Why the heck isn ‘t Newsome asking the Native Americans and their rain dance abilities to help? Native Americans have lived a long time here and they can help with rain dances….it is so sad.
