Will 2D make a comeback? Yes. TVpaint is REALLY damn powerful. That and Opentoonz (which is free) give people more power than ever to animate. And that means more great stuff
@pinklady71843 жыл бұрын
I believe so. 2D will make a comeback, when there is a better system to speed up labour in animation and to reduce its production costs. I believe somebody somewhere is working on that. A new system could result in returning jobs to traditional artists and animators and having them working alongside CG artists. More and more young animators are turning to free open source softwares for animation, painting, 3D modelling, etc. Pity, TVPaint is too costly. I use Krita as its nearest free alternative. On plus side, Krita recognises all the path tools in Inkscape like the Powerstroke which is used to vary thickness in strokes. I find bezier in Inkscape much easier and quicker to use than those in Krita and Opentoonz. So I do most drawings in Inkscape and later export them into Krita for animation.

Thank you so much for this lessons , this is the first time I see TVPaint and I really like it , And I wanna ask you a question What is the best Animation App TVPaint , Adobe Animate , Moho or Toonboom ? and why?
@nickel99624 жыл бұрын
Mariam Mounir I believe Tvpaint is more of a bitmap animation program for if a more traditionally animated look, animate is vector based animations mainly used in tv shows you can move it like a puppet and all it’s pretty easy to use if you are already used to adobe programs, toonboom is a mixed although I heard the learning curve is rlly steep. So if honestly recommend Tvpaint even though it’s pretty expensive but at least it’s a one time buy. I don’t know about Moho though
@pinklady71843 жыл бұрын
Krita is the nearest FREE alternative to TVPaint. The latter is only raster-based, yet the former lets you do both vector and raster drawings. You don't need Photoshop, when you have Krita. Besides, you can upload Photoshop brushes into Krita. You can find PS brushes at Brusheezy and Deviantart. When you import drawings from other softwares, Krita is compatible with native file formats from Gimp, Inkscape and MyPaint (all these softwares are free as well). Krita recognises all the path tools and filters in Inkscape, for example Powerstroke (for varying thickness in strokes). Inkscape is FREE and it is truly a MUST--HAVE for inking. Moreover, Inkscape has interpolation tools that you can use for inbetweening. Use bezier and b-spline for more results. Other free softwares worth exploring are DragonBones, Tupi 2D Magic, FlipaClip (app), Pencil2D, and Blender. Forgot Adobe Animate when Moho Pro is way BETTER - and cheaper in the long run. Moho has better bones than Adobe Animate. Moho's smart bones are more intuitive and you can do tricks with them. Moho also has pin bones, dial bones and smart mesh. You will LOVE them. Also, Moho tweens lines more cleanly than Animate's lines that break up into ugly chicken scratches. When you have Moho Pro, you won't need ToonBoom Harmony. Moho won't break your bank. Other free

What’s the glass surface like on the cintiq? Does it have a tooth to it?
@madrazz88886 жыл бұрын
Feels just like a normal screen or an ipad, the one I tried. But compared to drawing on paper, it does feel like there's a sheet of glass between the tip of your pen and the drawing surface. Something to get used to.

there are many cintiq pen's tips you can swap... you wont miss a paper friction feel that much!
@MaZEEZaM5 жыл бұрын
I have not tried one myself but from the reviews I have seen of the latest Cintiq's they feel very much like drawing on actual paper and this is how they are designed to feel. NOTHING like the glassy surface of the ipads.
