Ask your amp questions and I'll try to answer them. With coffee.
I hope some of the questions I couldn't get to last time are asked again, and hint hint: the earlier in the chat you ask a question the better the chance of it being answered, as I do three hours and it takes a while to get through as many as I can.
Please only ask your question once - I'll answer it as soon as I see it on my screen - and please start any questions with ?
It helps me to see the questions opposed to just regular chat stuff. Thanks.

hi lyle .i missed the live show. ive noticed many questions about tubes so... ive been working on live gigs in the last ten years with nos preamp tubes because they sound better and last longer, they even have thicker glass. my backline amps are 2 twins and 1 hotrod deluxe. the twins have a mullard i63 (200$) at v1 for a bassman like tone at the normal channel this tube completely transforms the amp and make it usable with bright guitars like sg's and strats. at v2 i recommend either a ge 12ax7wa for cleans like i use or a rca 12ax7a/7025 for the vintage crunch, i also highly recommend the orange vt 1000 digital tube tester it made my life a lot easier. enjoy!

HEY ! I actually love the C12K in my FDRRI. So much so that I put one in my custom champ and it was a great improvement from the webber stock. Not universally panned .:)

love the way you take the time to explain how things work, i have been working on guitars for a few years and have some people that love the way i set up the axes they play, i want to learn tube amps, just turned 60 and i think not many techs are going to want to mentor someone at 60 but you never know< Jan S

Thanks for posting, for those of us that can't always make it to the Livestream. Hot sauce enthusiast here. I'm fan of Cholula. I used to get all kinds of specialty sauces but it's too much work to keep up with that so I just go to the local grocery store these days. Used to always wear a Seiko chronograph. I sometimes think about getting back into wearing a watch.

Really like this hot sauce for an cheapo everyday driver - Salsa Huichol - Hot Sauce, my favorite spicy one is the El yucateco - chile habenero.. these are readily available at major retailers. @@PsionicAudio

Hey Lyle, any advice for enabling me to use an external attenuator with an AC15C1. I’m good to use the external speaker jack for connecting to my Captor X for headphones and recording, but would like to use the attenuator with the internal speaker. Love your channel!

my other mentor Dan Erliwyne, master Luthier had showed on some Gibsons where the Bridges were so far off that he would install little st screws with hex head and you needed some small allen wrench to try lock the thing in place , what i really dont get is why my new guitar would need to be plecked, there is a Goldmine and i can see where the company bought it for 500,000, and cookie cutter crunch finance team is like Boss well be doing real good if we could get just ten people a day to get plecked @ 250.00 a whack,

Mesa literally called their amp the deuce lol I get the angle they were going for, but when I hear the name, I find that its a little on the nose.

I missed the livestream because I had work, would anyone in the comments be able to answer a question? Is it bad to leave a tube amp off untouched in this case over 9 months? I shouldn’t have any issues just turning it on as long as I let it warm up a bit? Just a beginner at tube amps…

Hopefully Lyle will answer you with a pro-answer, but presuming it's a relatively new amp (not vintage) and in good order then it should be absolutely fine ... I'm getting old so 9 months can go by in the blink of an eye these days, but I've never used my band/gigging amp at home and there's been periods of that and more where it's just stayed in the cupboard. It's probably not ideal, like leaving a car sat for ages not being used but I wouldn't worry too much, but it might be better to turn it on a little more than that if you can.

Sorry dude. Didn’t mean it as an attack. I don’t remember the specifics but I think it was one of those things forums type furiously about that doesn’t really matter. So I would have intended that to be reassuring.
