I hope some of the questions I couldn't get to last time are asked again, and hint hint: the earlier in the chat you ask a question the better the chance of it being answered, as I do three hours and it takes a while to get through as many as I can.
Please only ask your question once - I'll answer it as soon as I see it on my screen - and please start any questions with ???

Glad I went back and watched this again this evening. I checked in late live today after the first intermission. I inquired about your perspective on Rivera 30 12's and was hoping to hear some perspective. Of course Rivera's came up in the first segment before I signed on. Thanks all the time you spend coaching us up. There are an handful of people who hold in high regard on KZbin and you're certainly up there. Thanks

It's very easy to modify a Zendrive out of being a Zendrive. I'd recommend retaining the mosfet/schottkey clipping and making only minor changes to the voice and tone control filtering. Though adding a discrete input buffer can be a worthwhile addition. Try it with an external buffer first to judge. It's a subtle but favorable improvement in my opinion. My favorite variation on the Zendrive theme is the Xotic Soul Drive. Worth looking into for inspiration on where it can go.

The Jensen P10r- FEN is standard issue in the 64 Custom Princeton Reverb- it's pretty similar to the stock p10r but has quite a bit of top end rolled back, which can be pretty useful, depending on what you're looking for.

I was the commenter urging caution on recommending the Headstrong. 1:18:21 From my point of view the claims of quality and the reputation of the amps are apocryphal, whereas my observations are anecdotal at worst. Lol. I can provide images of my observations, though. I really hope they take you up on your offer or one near you crosses your bench for service.

I like early Floyd; a particularly "nice pair" 😉 is Meddle and Atom Heart Mother, but Piper, Ummagumma, Saucerfull of Secrets and the rest are all good. I still have most of that stuff on vinyl. BTW, there's a fascinating documentary film about HipGnosis, the art/photography studio that did so many covers for the Floyd and others. The name is now owned by a venture capital/ investment group that specializes in buying up entire artist's song catalogs, ugh.

Q: A little while back, I asked the question about my VHT/FRYETTE pitbull 50 cl on how can power reduce from pentode and down a bit further (triode?). Can I use an attenuator, and if so, do you have any suggestions? ie, fryettes version; rivera version; etc. What are suggestions? The pitbull sure is a power amp ... Thanks again, GB ¡¤¡
