☆This was a wonderful conversation Justin and Christian. It is always so cool to hear the 3 P's (i.e. passion, process, and presentation) of the art of perfumery. I am am huge lover of fragrances, have TOB, Danae, Pour Homme, and now Sacred Flame. It is arare thing for a fragrance to encompass such emotion with a unmuddled character all their own. Sorry for the blogpost, but Argos always tends to make me gush! Can't wait to experience those new ones, especially the Halloween one! Much respect and love to the Stay Fresh Crew, JC, & CP♡♡♡☆

I really don’t understand why it’s so bad to have a certain amount of projection or performance. How does it make necessary to buy a 200-300 dollar fragrance and not expect a certain amount of projection or performance. I don’t think most people want the fragrance to last for 24 hours. But the cost should correlate with everything. You can’t expect people to pay 200 for a fragrance that lasts 4 hours, and it doesn’t project further than 5 inches off your skin. It is annoying when people are obsessed with projection, but there is a point of expectation, and that coincides with the price of the fragrance.

It’s not a bad thing to desire a certain amount of performance in relation to cost. It’s just not realistic to expect it. The way a fragrance performs is a byproduct of how it is composed. It is not a “feature” that can be guaranteed, like putting more RAM in a smartphone, or more horsepower in an engine. It cannot be measured or quantified. It is a complete variable that different people will experience differently. Ironically enough, the biggest variable to performance is not the fragrance itself. It is us. It is our noses. How a fragrance evaporates from the skin, and how we detect it with our olfactory receptors, are not one and the same. We often presume that 100% of the time, if we can’t smell a fragrance, then it’s already evaporated. But think about it-are any of our senses actually *perfect*? We place so much expectation on a liquid comprised of oils and alcohol. But when you think about it, it is very abstract. It is an art, and while art can be measured to one degree or another while it is created, its consumption cannot. I apologize, for the rant. I hope this makes sense!

@@stayfreshproductions Oh yeah absolutely, it totally depends on our composition. But I don’t believe we are that much more different from each other. I don’t believe it’s possible for a person to have a fragrance last for 12 hours on them, but on another person it only lasts for 1 hour. There should at least be a performance range that manufacturers should consider. I don’t believe a fragrance should last any shorter than 3-4 hours, and I don’t believe a fragrance should last more than 10-12 hours. And that all depends on the price. I do love your channel, but sometimes when I’m trying to buy an expensive fragrance and I look at your fragrance choices, I don’t know if it will perform the way I would like it to. Adding to the fact that I love your fragrance taste, but I just don’t understand how long a fragrance will last when you are in love with one. Don’t need a specific time amount of performance either, just an average of how long or how powerful it could be. Thats all, and trust me it is super annoying when you hear people say ‘beast mode’, because that in itself is immeasurable anyways.
