Man, still can't believe, with 7 out of 9 fire starters having flames come out of their bodies almost constantly, only ONE has different color flames when shiny. Typhlosions fire was purple in gen 2 (probably inspired the Hisuian one come to think of it), but gen 3 onwards has boring orange fire for it's shiny. Emboar is the only shiny starter with different colored flames.

All three of the Unova starters have amazing shinies! My favorite is probably Oshawott, but they’re all really good! It sucks that you had to go so far over odds, but hey! At least the rival theme is a whole bop. Congratulations! 🌺

I just want to say that only a couple minutes into this video, I found my own Shiny Snivy on my cop of Pokemon Black and it only took me like...maybe 500 tries. Thanks for the shiny luck!

I just started my Oshawott hunt today after reseting my Pokemon White (I have all my original pokemon in Pokemon Home now) I'm a bit fearful for this coming off of a 9 month long Johto Starter hunt and a still unfinished Kyurem hunt lasting over a year. I'm really hopeful my luck for these comes through lol. Congrats

I've wanted to soft reset for these starters but I barely have the patience for the heart gold starter resets. And yes, cudos to the rare uncatchable shiny minchino! 😅😅😅

lol these starters are definitely a pain to hunt if you get bad luck, but if you are able to boost your tolerance for longer soft resets highly recommend the hunts! And the uncatchable was a lot of fun to see :)

@@Kiwiqwp I've been trying to breed a shiny chikorita in heart gold for months now. I'm at almost 5200 (and gen 4 breeding odds are 1/4096) and I've been soft resetting for shiny chikorita on a separate game. I got 2 shiny cyndaquill within 1 day of each other. I hatched a shiny cyndaquill at 230 eggs and shiny totodile at 80! Chikjorita must REALLY hate me...
