LIVE Cook Along: Cinnamon Fried Bananas

Hot Damn! Fried Bananas
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
3 bananas, peeled
1 stick butter
1 cup DeKuyper Hot Damn! Cinnamon Schnapps Liqueur, or other flavored liqueur, cinnamon whiskey, (google alternatives)
Vanilla ice cream for serving
1. In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
2. Cut the bananas in half and then cut again, lengthwise.
3. Toss the bananas in the sugar mixture until generously coated. Leave them in the mixture.
4. In a large cast iron skillet, melt the butter over medium- low heat. Add the bananas and fry on each side for 1 to 2 minutes, or until softened slightly.
5. Pour the schnapps into the skillet and lightly stir the bananas around to absorb some of the flavor. Light the schnapps on fire. It should flame off quickly.
6. Remove from the heat. Place the bananas over ice cream and drizzle with the remaining sauce from the skillet. Serve immediately.
