Howie, I have been following Courtney sing her first song on AGT....almost knocked me on my floor when she started singing and all I could thing is "Janis Jopin is NOT dead anymore. And her subsequent songs, and then her original on AGT Champions just cemented the deal. I am glad she is growing up a bit and growing into a beautiful young lady. I feel a bit embarrassed to be my age watching young girls and following their career, but somehow the boys and men who come on AGT just don't seem to have the same talent. Anyway, she is quite an amazing girl with tons of talent, and now she is gaining confidence and seems to be growing into her songwriting and performance skills. I hope she is getting the recognition she deserves but it seems she is developing a fan base that is just crazy about her music. I hope she retains HER way of doing things, not letting any corporate executives screw things up. No matter what I truly believe she is going to be one of those people with longevity in her life and her first love - MUSIC! I hope that any guy she dates realizes that he will always come down in 2nd place to music....she will write some great songs about him but still - 2nd place hahaha. Thanks for giving her the Golden Buzzer and keeping in contact with her all this time. A match made in heaven I guess...keep up the good work and don't reach for those angel wings anytime soon :)

The thing about her that captivates me the most is the contrast between Courtney the high school kid and Courtney the rock star....they are 2 totally different personalities....i think that is absolutely AMAZING...i wish her a long successful career....the only thing that worries me is that the type of music she sings is not mainstream anymore....it was about 50 years ago but most people now don't really want that kind of music....they want pop divas, which personally i can't stand...i wish Courtney all the luck...if she releases CDs i will buy them.....

Here's a question for you guys. 1st do either of you have or have you had any teenage daughters? Or better yet do you remember being a teen yourselves? As a growing young teen I would expect she will experiment in many different directions going forward. The worst thing a parent can do is tell their kids to stop acting like a teenager when they are and start acting like an adult. How often has that ever worked? The one thing everyone who has followed this young teen knows is that she will not let others determine who she really is. She may have been shy and innocent looking in front of millions of Tv viewers, but away from the camera she's always had a wild side. Yet she understands how to be respectful and not cause harm to others. When the natural path of a teen really begins, like piercings, tattoos etc, what will some try to say about her then? Haven't most of us done the same. Judgement by others, although not the best path for some, will always be a fact of life. Fortunately this girl has learned quickly to ignore those judgements, unless they are by people she trusts.

Make up for Cover Sessions video's were done for by professional make up artists. Were you not a teen yourself Judi? Maybe you chose not to experiment with much as a teen. Many teens from every decade have gone wild to find out what they like and don't like. And most always there's those grown ups complaining about all kinds of things that don't fit their model. Fortunately this one has a mind of her own, yet she has always been respectful to others. What more can a parent want in a child. She says "Don't compromise yourself you're all you've got." Smart child.
