Live Crawfish for Bass Pond - Stocking Crawfish

We purchased our live crawfish from lacrawfish.com to try a stocking / supplemental feed for the bass. While the pond is healthy the recent drain off had us concerned about smaller feed fish so we added the extra crawfish.

This was very cool to see. My girlfriend is Dutch and when visiting the Netherlands a few years ago, the crawfish were all over the roads due to heavy rains! It was an amazing sight to see, the locals said it happens every so often and when it does, pet owners have to be carful as they will pinch anything that touches them.

Thats a common practice for forage for the bass here in Louisiana. A little tip though for next time, buy your crawfish after easter, the price per sack drops significantly once lent is over.

If you have a good quantity of bluegill you should be good. Next to shad, bluegill are one of bass's favorite food. I mean hell, you pulled out an 8 pounder so they ain't starving....LOL.

Instead of a clarity disc, we used to drop a solid white coffee mug on a string. That helped to determine water clarity for jig colors for crappie fishing.

Well, the good part is you should only have to stock once, right? Crawfish reproduce like crazy, so that population should be good in a couple years.

The farm looks better to me than both your homesteads. Looks like you have a high maintenance life old man. Probably have to pay your son for help. Stay on the farm and forget the golf course lawn. No one cares! Forget about it!!!
