Looks to me if you don’t like multi frequency you may as well stick with the Symplex basically the same machine a lot less money , or are there other improvements over the Symplex in single frequency?

Sounds like my situation only had simplex just over year love it but legend sounds so sweet . But if I’m not gonna find more stuff in my reg spots then why buy it

I've got both,the simplex doesn't stand a chance in iron or trash compared to the Legend.You just get more targets with the legend.

The problem is, multi is great when you're hunting in say large iron. Silver, brass, copper or even large gold vary greatly in conductivity to iron. So multi can help unmask them. When you get into foil, can slaw, small nails, wire and household trash which is more common in parks, well a lot of that stuff rings in just like jewelry and gold so.........multi isn't always as helpful. In high EMI zones it may actually hinder you since you have to drop sensitivity a lot when you could run far more sensitive in a single frequency without issues. That's why the MG machines all have single frequency options. The best thing to do on any good site is use them all to be sure.

Simplex does not have a chance against the Legend. I figured that one out the first day swinging the Legend over my test gardens, hot soil, in iron, in trash, in EMI, small gold........

Besides nickels 24(Buffalo) - 26clad. Btw I own a garrett carrot and just ordered the xp mi4 pinpointer after watching your videos seems to be alot more accurate

Serious question, why would anyone settle for single freq on a promised multi unit? Broadly thinking and as a user of multi only on 2 units its superior in most situations so why the push for this single freq look at my left hand while I rob you with my right nonsense!?

IT's not superior in most situations. Only when looking for high conductors hidden among low conductors. Great for relics etc. When you look for jewelry in a park full of foil and can slaw, multi isn't going to help. Everything rings in the same. That's why you'll see beach and water hunters using multi basically dig everything. In high emi multi is even more of a problem. If you can run full sensitivity in 15khz and only 2/3 in multi due to emi you'd be handicapping yourself in multi. Then of course it also depends on the person and what their brain gels with the best. Every company has different software and if you watch the testing head to head videos you'll always see situations where one machine fails and another shines. That's why you dig more to find more. :)

I really had a hard time today with the machine in multi mode, was very hard to snipe on a target like i could with the simplex.

I said this many many months ago...SMF machines are very overrated. The Legend is so much more stable in EMI and I dig out way less nails than with the Simplex. Give it a chance in single frequency for 30 hours or so and you will see a huge improvement over the Simplex. Legend much more stable in iron, EMI and harsh soil. Legend is much hotter on small gold items than the 12khz Simplex.

I typically use Deus mono, for now trying out 28khz frequency, with some offsetting between lows and highs. Soil where I'm at isn't as mineralized compared to Salem. Am wanting to try out ~15khz as it is close to the simplex's 12khz frequency. mostly hunting for coins and jewelry. Like you said a while ago, multi-freq modes fight each other to output what conductivity it detects.

So you don't like multi freq? Why not just hunt with the Anfibio that has 3 freq? It has a good build, waterproof and all. Everyone says it goes deep too.

The anfibio is a good machine but it has a slower processor and more issues with EMI which isn't great for the area he's hunting. I have a Kruzer that I run, basically the same as the anfibio and I love it. Great relic machine and ok in parks but not the best in high trash.

I have over 2000 hours on the Anfibio and can say it's processor is very very slow compared to the Legend. Anfibio is almost 4lbs and cannot take a fast swing speed.

Also as already pointed out, it's an unfair comparison to make between the deus and the legend, being the two are entirely different than each other in their own realms.

At this point I guarantee you you will lose big time , compared to the equinox and the Deus II . I think they will improve with improve software . I detected the golf beach in Texas this winter with the deus and the deus II , the Deus II was amazing digging quarters, nickels, dimes, and pennies at 14 inches and very stable got to be a real workout . If I go next year I will take the legend also . From what I see so far with the new update it is much more stable but not that deep compared to the competition.
