Jeremy, You’ve gotta hunt the water. There’s usually less trash in the water and most people lose their jewelry after putting on sunscreen and their fingers shrink in the water. I found my best find, (jewelry) in waist deep water.

Since april 2023 ive gotten 2 rolls of zinc pennies, my bank is going to love me because they have to send them to the mint for the ARP (alloy recovery program) and the mint is going to love that because they are all zinc and steel, no copper to be had I have a couple rolls of copper pennies too, i just keep the copper in a drawer, i find about an equel amount of copper and steel/zinc, because we had copper till 96 and only had pennies at all till 2012

@digginggopher17 сағат бұрын
I was using the legend in my room, testing something or other, so I had sensitivity way down, like single digits, well the next day I went to a very trashy area, all around a gazebo, in Toronto, I didn't realize my sensitivity was still very low, but I think it helped a ton in the trash, of course I was only digging out shallow stuff, but it was a lot less of a machine gun beeping
@MrBottlecapBill14 сағат бұрын
It does and it would in this video as well. You can use sensitivity as a sort of discrimination tool. By that I mean if you tone the sensitivity down, only larger more significant targets have a chance of setting the machine off at all. I use this trick often. Especially in snow dumps or high foil zones. You'll never NOT dig junk but there are plenty of tricks. Try 40kz....it will make modern Canadian clad appear out of nowhere.
@Stack_Silver17 сағат бұрын
Another educational video from you that is immensely helpful for me to dial in my metal detecting skills. I continue to be amazed as it has become second nature for you to discriminate between the junk and the real. We all all need to goals to aim for and my goal is to develop that ability to set-up & sense to discriminate between the tones and program settings as well as you do...

Usually find bottle caps, some nails that sounded pretty good with little-no iron tones that could've been from the surrounding soil, handful of coins, lead fishing weights and lures, sometimes other strange trinkets along that stretch.

Fun video ! I figured you have the Predator Phoenix out the for easy plugs, but you mentioned you were headed to the beach on just made this a stop on the way, so undertanble... The Deus II seemed to be doing ok. I've learned to use the toes like you do to discriminate the junk vs treasure. Being decisive seems to gets easier with more time in doing it. You make it look easy. I have a ways to go yet to discriminate against not digging an iffy signal.

@j.ccunha9759Күн бұрын
@j.ccunha9759Күн бұрын
Por isso que é importante de vês em quanto a terra o detector Como fazer isso procurar um local sem grama e descansar a bobina do detector por alguns segundos

Nokta seems to know how to keep the consumer on track with their Value:Performance ratio. I know there are people out there that cost is a lesser concern with a detector that demands a higher cost and may have an edge in certain instances, but the more I watch your videos where the Legend is involved in the discussion, the more I am convinced that the Value:Performance ratio is paramount. Especially on a machine that can be tweaked as much as the Legend can. And your commentary about those open air tests is one that I agree with as it's not reality to actually soil hunting in iron. I am now trying to master the complete understanding of the new changes and option capabiity enhancements of version 1.15 for the Legend. As you say in many videos, I too and am not concerned with finding objects 15" to 20" down which the new beast mode seems to lean to. Yes, who really wants to dig a hole that deep? Not me!

Great video review! Until I saw your video and several others mention and review their Predator Phoneix shovel, I was looking at Notch's collapsable shovel, but saw some owners had issues with getting good plugs and removing plugs. As you mentioned and showed here, the shape of the Phoenix is the key to the perfect plug dig. I just ordered mine.

Version 1.15 seems to have made most prior reviews of the Legend null as the enhancements in this release have elevated the Legend's function and capability in a measurable manner. Your point about navigating the menus as a learning curve is still very valid and a point that all Legend owners/users need to heed as a lesson that it is important to really learn the menus and what and when to select.

Would you say the Spartan shovel will be better for very hard dry soil? It is similar to the phoenix with d handle and height. My main concern is getting through the rocky hard clay ground. Thanks
@PaystreakSuperfreakКүн бұрын
My first shovel from Predator was the Spartan, I sold it within just a couple weeks. The Spartan does not have a double curved spade, the Spartan has a straight spade which does not make clean plugs. The Spartan has a very small narrow/short spade and takes a lot of stabs to dig a plug.
