I had to laugh at the comment they don't more around much. They do all sorts of stuff in isolation from each other eg. MIKU usually casts a spell on the audience and she does that by herself and its not uncommon for the rest of the band to just sit on the stage and watch her. The bass player MISA quite often stands next to her amp and mixes drinks. Off one of the girls is talking to the audience SAIKI the singer will have her back to the audience while she does something or talthe drummer or just sits down. They do long concerts and have lots of strategies to give each other a break but usually don't leave the stage. You'll get used to it. It's kind of refreshing to have no stage management at all.

Band-Maid does a mean cover of Slipknot's Duality. Slipknot just announced that Knotfest will commence in Tokyo on January 11th and Band-Maid's on the bill. Then Nippon Budokan the next month on National Foundation Day of Japan. This is a huge honor. Knotfest will tour the world, virus permitting and Band-Maid will be there. Any band who does not sound as good or better live is not much of a band to my way of thinking because all of the greatest ones do. And the very best bands never play the same song the same way twice in a row. That does not reflect badly on previously recorded material. It merely shows Band-Maid is never fully satisfied and continues to grow both as performers and entertainers. There is no finer hard rock band today anywhere on the planet. Sacramento loves Band-Maid and you will soon see just how dedicated and fanatical we Maidiacs are about the most improbable, misunderstood, talented, charismatic and good looking band to appear on the scene since four young men from Liverpool decided they had had enough back in 1970. Long live rock n roll. Long live Band-Maid. Sacramento loves Band-Maid.

I don’t know if anyone else commented this on your other BAND-MAID reactions but the drummer Akane is heavily influenced by Nao from maximum the hormone!! She said she listens to them a lot when shes not working on BAND-MAID stuff

Band Maid is awesome in the studio as well, their energy live or studio is incredible. But the engineers in Japan tend to compress the shit out of everything which is why their live versions sound so much better sonically

As far as stage presence goes, between Saiki Atsumi, Yuko Suzuhana of Wagakki Band and the Queen, Su-Metal, they have more than every other frontwoman in the US combined, all due respect to Amy Lee.

I guess I explained it wrong. They have amzing stage presence. I just meant it would be cool to see them move around just a little more. Which in all actually they don't need it. They still kill it!

If you want more Band Maid, there's still plenty more. I don't exaggerate when I say every single song they have is good, just choose a song and make sure it's not a fan cam. Live versions are usually your best bet, but some songs don't have a good live version on KZbin. Whatever you choose next, I'm looking forward to it. Subscribed and hit the bell icon.

Band-Maid is a "GREAT" band Maximum The Harmone is a "CRAZY" band Band-maid is a all gal band ( maybe more conservative), they re not as crazy as MTH on stage. In the early stage when i listened to Band-maid , i wish they re as crazy or more head-bang just like MTH. Of coz i get to know MTH 1st then band maid later , just like ur channel. Now i kind of accept it , just the way they are. Listen more to Band-maid song, u will get used to it , u will pay more attention to their musicianship.

They are so good at playing their instruments and you can't watch all of them at the same time and that is their stage presence you can't be that good and not be noticed and when they sound that good live that's more presence than most bands can muster.
@dicodec4 жыл бұрын
Stage presence was probably not the best word choice on my part. I went in expecting alittle more movement. Honestly though they're so good they don't even need it. -Eric

“They don’t have much stage presence, they’re not moving around enough.” “Fuck you, they’re moving around enough.” 😆That’s the only valid response to such a silly statement. The stage presence on display is why the audience energy is so high.

When you listen to Japanese Rock/Metal Bands, especially with a female vocalist, ALWAYS listen to the live versions. In Japan they tend to overprocess and focus on the vocals WAY too much. That's because most of the producers and engineers work or worked in J-Pop or something similar, where it's all about the vocals and nobody cares if there's a band or one guy playing the background music with a computer program. It's the same with Babymetal for example. If you listen to their studio albums (especially the self-titled first one) and then the live version you'll think they're two different bands. So, if someone recommends Babymetal, PLEASE listen to the live version of the song. Their live band (Kami Band) is absolutely amazing.

You need to watch more of Band-Maid's videos and what Rock bands moves around on stage anymore ???? None because Rock is dead in the US. Check out the Live versions of Play, Don't you Tell Me, Onset, Moratorium, Puzzle

I'm sorry. That statement "Maximum the Hormone can do it" just made me mad. Maximum the Hormone is not as good as Band Maid is. I have tried to even see what people like about MtH and come up empty every time I listen to them. The days of the musicians running all over the stage are over. Great sound and great lights with stage movement that makes sense are far better than 4 sweaty people running back and forth and playing wrong notes.

It's all good. I didn't mean it as if MTH is better than Band-Maid. We like both bands equally. We grew up on stuff similar to MTH so we get down to it as much as Band-Maid. Everyone has their preferences. Thanks for checking out the video. 🤘 -Eric
