TLDW; The core gameplay and combat is great fun from what I've played so far but I think the onboarding process will turn off a lot of new players with some frustrating UI and zero hand-holding when it comes to certain elements of the game. Instead, you are overwhelmed with the majority of the games mechanics before you actually encounter them through natural progression. The game definitely opens up after a few hours and when it does, it really pulls you in but I fear some players won't give DD2 the time it asks of you before things get really good... which it does! Performance is rough inside towns and populated areas with lots of civilians but if you know what you're getting into, there's a fantastic experience underneath some of the more archaic systems and performance issues. Fair warning too... Keyboard and Mouse input feel abysmal to play with so you really need a controller for this one if you want to play on PC.

Im using K&M for Ranger and feel alright to be fair, I have played the first one in the same way, so im used to it. I do think that melee controller is better in that aspect.

Seriously it kills me when i watch this seeing a struggle only two and a half hours in and then reading the comments to see someone call it trash or comparing it to monster hunter which holds your hand with a tutorial unless you have played before and you know how the ui works the game requires attention to details and if it isnt your style of game to play then dont play it but dont call it trash

Also your a thief you should’ve made your pawn a mage that way he could heal and support you from long range. And if you get into sticky situations his spells can slow your enemies down. FYI I’m new to dogma as well. But not to rpg like this one. It’s kinda like dragon age origins just with way better graphics and details. I hope to get this game one day.

Your conclusion of the game was a description of Monster Hunster lol capcom is known for that imo monster Hunter gives you a ton of info and the UI is not the greatest take some getting used to but the game itself is beautifully awesome

IKR? All this old style talk really got on my nerves watching the gameplay. Yeah, it may be appropriate to the world but it's hard to always hear it. And the constant chatter of the pawns speaking like they are some valiant medieval knights is very odd. I'm not a fan of that.
