Another thought I've had since making this video: Pale Moss is better for moss mining! Since it doesn't generate the azalea & flowering azalea saplings, that means less inventory clutter, and no chance of accidentally growing a tree in your pit. Any other fun ideas from this snapshot? Comment below!

I think it would be great if creaking hearts only appear in trees grown in the pale garden biome. That way they are renewable, but won't cause creaking mobs to accidentally spawn elsewhere. I also think it would be great to have the option to make the creaking hearts glow with a redstone charge. That way they can more easily be used for decoration. Probably only have them spawn mobs when they glow due to pale oak placed on both ends of it though.

Since you mentioned flowers missing from the pale garden on the spawn chunks, it seems like the perfect opportunity for Mojang to add a flower that gives us grey dye, the one remaining dye you can't directly farm(I think?). Ideas to "improve" the Biome and Creaking: • Fog, this biome needs its own fog to render the players vision to get in with the spooky ambience (or a New Weather: Fog, that can also work) • More pale plants, like white pumpkins or pale flowers • The Creaking's damage and speed needs to be slightly higher, idk it's fairly easily avoidable • More Tree Shape, I get it that Mojang is insisting that it's a Dark Oak Variant, but it definitely needs it own identity • Structures would be nice, like ancient stone circle, mausoleum, or graveyard. "Ideas of Reasons to Go there" • Pale Bloom! a flower that grows on pale moss and grows to adjacent pale moss(similar to how Mushroom spreads). This Flower is rare CAN'T be collected during the day or silktouch, you need to wait for NightFall to Collect the flower, risking your life venturing in to the night while dealing with the Creaking - purpose of this flower can be a new potion ingredient for a new effect,

I think the concern isn't about needing a reason to visit (or revisit) the pale garden biome, but about the lack of reason to do so at night. There isn't any reason to interact with the creaking, unless you find that experience inherently enjoyable. I'm totally fine with having unique building blocks as the only draw to visit a biome, as is the case with many other overworld biomes. However, Mojang has put significant effort into designing a totally new mob for this biome that most players will likely avoid entirely by visiting the biome only during the day. I really want the creaking to feel like it has some meaningful value as a feature, rather than existing to be avoided and ignored. Even something as simple as making the creaking drop pale oak logs on death could provide that value for me, because that would introduce a unique and interesting method for farming what would otherwise be an obnoxious wood type to farm.

I know this is supposed to be a small drop, and not a major update, but one way they could expand on this could be a special pale garden village type. It could look abandoned during the day, but have non-sleeping villagers who appear at night. They could be passive, but unsettling in some way, and should have a couple unique trades (maybe having something to do with the creaking heart). Maybe there is a locksmith villager who can convert keys from the trial chambers into keys that can be used with doors and chests.

I think that the whole biome should have a wall for it's border, to better cement the fact that it is a "garden" and gardens are often private areas. Not necessarily a complete wall either, but perhaps ruined in places with age, crumbling, high in some places, nonexistent in other places, and slightly overgrown, probably with the pale moss Edit: the garden could have smaller pale oak variants like how the jungle works, adding a slight undergrowth. These could easily be used to overgrow some parts of the wall to help the immersion

i've been wanting to push for them to add lighting effects in the pale garden since mincon. like make the fact the garden lights up at night be a point of interest. flowers that you can't see during the day, only to bloom and glow yellow-orange (like the creaking's eyes) at night. i think the mosses and leaves should glow too. a slight bluish, even if it's just light level 1 or 2. i think it would be visually amazing and help reduce other mobs which i agree, ruin the mood of the biome. they hammered down with the "pale" but the "garden" feels like an empty promise. personally, i don't like the desaturation because we have so many biomes which are already desaturated. tundras with the bluish grass, savannas with the dull brown and badlands with the even worse brown. the mountain biomes don't have great colors either (cherry being the only good mountain biome). i get the wood color, and i can see potential for the wood color to grow into stained wood in the future, i just can't get into having a splotch of grey on the world and convince myself that it's interesting.

Honestly, I think more niche resources should be placed in specific places. I like having a lot of "core", always useful stuff centered in one place like food, logs, iron, sugarcane, etc but having my slime in a swamp, my geode farm somewhere nearby, an ice farm, guardian farm, witch farm etc etc gives the world a "network" feeling that's just as satisfying as a bunch of resources all in one convenient chunk and encourages me to build different styles and ideas that wouldn't really fit in with my main hub. Besides, I like automation, efficiency and density so if Mojang let me cram everything into a home base the lag would become utterly unreasonable with everything running at once.

They could blink just like sculk blocks blink, spawn only at night around tall grass or some specific type of bush but not interact with hostile mobs besides maybe reduce their spawning. And you could craft glass jars to catch the firebugs in, so a glass jar with 1-4 firebugs would have the same light strength as 1-4 candles. And maybe they could sometimes drop a glowing ink item like glow squids do ✨ I just feel like they could add something really nostalgic and special to the game and players would feel encouraged to go exploring at night more 😆

Might be interesting if there were a way to modify the heart or pale oak logs to prevent the heart from activating. Like if you had a pillar of pale oak with a heart in it, then somehow "wax" the heart (similar to waxing copper blocks) and sandwiching it between pale oak logs won't activate it, but then someone does a little mischief and strips the heart to remove the waxing and it can activate. If pumpkin heads make the creaking always aggressive, I wonder if it's possible to get a charged creeper to make it drop a creaking head and if wearing a creaking head makes the creaking always passive. Or maybe wearing a creaking head in the presence of a heart might give some weird status effect that removes color saturation in your world or something, and maybe that can get added to "How Did We Get Here?" The idea of trapping a creaking and using it as a 3D compass in a minigame would be pretty interesting. Is there a limit to how far the creaking can be, or can you basically put it anywhere and it will have particles travel all the way across the world to the heart?

I think that it should emit a bit of light, and I expected light levels to not effect it, as it didn't in the preview? Maybe they'll change that I do think it makes sense for the creaking heart to only spawn in the pale oak forest; not sure about them spawning when you grow more trees in that biome. It does provide people the chance to create farms for them, though; whether for decoration or minigames If a creaking is nametagged, I don't think it should despawn (specifically because of minigames and such. it would suck to have a cool idea for some sort of game or scavenger hunt like you said, but have to constantly be re-setting the whole thing up) Honestly the pale oak doors and trapdoors are the best kind since spruce (imo) I cannot WAIT to see what BDouble0100 does with this wood, the minute I saw it I thought about how much it matches his style

It would be cool if you put other wood types around the heart if would create creaking of that wood type.

That'd be fun, but I'm not sure the novelty would be worth the tradeoff of being unable to use other logs around the Creaking Heart. I'm really attached to this acacia wall now lol
@joshuasnow8102 ай бұрын
@@Pixlriffs I agree the acacia wall looked awesome. Another idea. If you took the heart to another biom and put in a tree there it would slowing turned that into a pale forest of the type.

What happens when you put 3 hearts on top of each other? Does the middle heart activate?

Someone showed the creaking spawning on glass blocks. I don't think that it is affected by normal spawning conditions like light or block type.

You can strip logs while holding a shield, you have to shift

Hey Pix, you can strip the wood with a shield, if you crouch :)

I wonder if snow golems can attack creakings? The particle effects would look really good on a giant volcano build

25:34 Mix in glow lichen too and warped wood and we can create some really pretty Halloween vibes~

Curious if this would make a good day night sensor, better than the villager in a bed method.

That regular moss block could have been from an enderman Edit: nope, enderman can’t pick up/drop moss blocks

I forsee people using the creaking heart lit up in their decorating by allowing it to spawn the creaking, then nametagging him and hiding him somewhere. It just looks so cool lit up!! Edit: dang, just got to the part of the video when he despawned in daytime :(

I'm sad I can't use the Activated bottom and top part of the heart as decoration though :/ only the sides. it's such a pretty colour.

If you hold shift while carrying a shield you can strip logs and remove wax from copper.
