I’m kind of surprised that the fact that Konami added a Vtuber archetype didn’t make more of a splash, but if I had to guess, I’d say it’s probably at least partly due to the fact that Drytrons debuted in the same set and promptly performed the metagame equivalent of pulling a gun out from under the table and telling everyone to “Continue on as normal.”

It’s also heavily to do with the fact that the archetype was originally seen as a fan service just like dragon maids but so many people are still favoring them even though in my own personal experience using an evil twin deck I’ve only lost to dragon maids maybe 2-3 times possibly and in the one case I remember clearly it was just due to a brick hand and just scooped not because of the guys deck, game 2 & 3 I ran him over like it was nothing.

I've been messing around with the deck a decent amount and one thing I didn't hear you mention is that after you get to both link 2s on your first turn you can link them into the kisikil link 2 in order to have the pop live on your opponent's turn. This also means that if you use present then you have another kisikil link in grave for the lilla link to summon back after you give the opponent your kisikil link. Also, for a more pure build you can run Cynet Backdoor. It insulates your normal summon against veiler and imperm because it dodges targeting and then when the monster you summoned hits the field it will be the only thing on your field so it's effect will also trigger to summon the other twin again. That combo also gives you an extra body for your next turn when the banished twin returns. The card you search off of backdoor (or mining since pure builds need the extra starters) is Microcoder which you link along with the twin whose effect you don't want to trigger into a Code Talker searching Cynet Regression. You then link the Code Talker into a Linkross for two tokens and then link the Linkross and the other live twin into your first link 2 and continue the combo as usual. Your Evil Twin effect on your opponent's turn will then trigger Cynet Regression to pop a card and draw 1. My build runs a bunch of hand traps to round things out but there are also combos out there involving Unchained and Cyberse extenders to make stuff like Unchained Abomination and I believe the Scythe Lock.

im a little tardy to the party here but I play live twins and found that they can scyte really easily just add dagda and parallel exceed normal summon lil-la or ki-sikil whatever effect you dont want then link one into salamangreat almaraj with its arrow parallel exceed into a 2nd one link 2 into dagda then link 2 into the evil twins with the other one and whatever live twin you had left when you use the effect of the evil twin then chain dagda and set scythe

I find they work best when paired with traps or quick plays that require tributes. The build I favor uses balistia squad, horn of heaven, enemy controller etc. That combine that with the link's ability to summon the other back right a way can make for great disruption, and a spectacular show during the opponents turn. (Also Dark factory of increased production is good one of here.)

I like this archetype the whole competitive daring thieves theme is really intresting plus the art goes from cartoonish to glamours and links only reason I don’t play it is simply the comments I see when I play it makes me cringe I get it’s a “waifu” but I don’t see it like that I just see it as a duo of daring divarous duo what’s ur thoughts on the archetype ?

I recently paired my Twins package with a Generaider Deus X-Krawler package, and its easily the strongest control/midrange deck i've played in a while. Like, pure Twins is still pretty fun, but this shit is just fucking bussin.
