@Jadwiga Petrykiewicz Many of the people living in these areas don't choose to live this way.....There are many solid families comprised of both single parents and parents who are married and employed, they want better, they want to make what they have better, but sadly, banks discriminate heavily against Blacks, no matter if you have good jobs and are a hardworking single parent or happily married with well behaved children. If this banking bias didn't happen, these "hood" areas would be much nicer and there definitely would be less crime and instability. Maybe there is not banking bias based on race in Poland, but aren't there areas where there is poverty, crime, and single/married parents struggling to make a living and bring their children up properly?

There's a lot of good people in many of those neighborhoods who work very hard to improve their community.

If you’re going NW, go down North Ave to Oak Park or Milwaukee Ave into Niles, but stay out of Humboldt and Garfield Park. The socioeconomic down drift in this city has been quick as the wind. They decorated and invested in the downtown and lakeshore before the 2008 recession but forget most everywhere else! Traffic is slower than ever going east to west. Sad - lots of people leaving. This is not the happy city of the 1990s. But the heart of our city is still spread throughout our ethnic pockets. .

Speed bumps does not mean ghetto. It means slow down. Narrow, busy residential streets where people who should, often don’t! Like you said, after hitting a couple hard, you will slow down!
