Yeah... As someone who has been playing since 2019, I will say that Recode is definitely much higher quality, but a part of me still misses Legacy, bugs and all. Not to mention, I've always liked Legacy's UI aesthetic more than Recode's.

I joined CoS 2022 and i quited it for 2 years but in feb i restarted im rich🤑 Heres a tip: KoS as galtekron it has insane hitbox dont spend mush like i did enjoy playing while doing reigion missions i recommend stock up on creatures before trading 🤑🤑🤑. 2019 is when i first found the game, i played a little bit every now and then until legacy, then i played almost daily, when recode was announced i sort of stopped playing until beta recode came out, now i am back to playing daily Man what a journey

I started in like middle 2023, I can confirm that Legacy packs were just better, food storages were amazing, and roles, I really miss those, I hope naming packs and roles come back. I don't think food storages were in the game when I first joined, I picked momola too.

I started playing CoS sometime during the week that Celeritis was added. Been playing ever since. Bro you just keep whatever you had in legacy before the recode update so when I found the legacy button, i was so confused as to why I had a parahexilian even though I didn't have one in recode. legacy was the prime time for them kosing ken/gyro jumpscares. Everyone would just be chillin at oasis then SOMEONE would just APPEAR as a freaking GYRODUS, BREAK EVERYBODYS BONES, THEN KILL EVERYONE

I love recode, it’s great and ever! Though legacy will always remain my favorite. I don’t play the version really anymore, I just miss those memory’s of every one at oasis and being friendly or those huge battles! For me it’s just not the same… I still play creatures of sonaria like every day or so but my point is I just miss it even if there was bugs and the graphics weren’t as good as recode!

if you play legacy again as herbi, its actually seasonal & different kinds of food grow at different places during different seasons. I only know this bc i liked playing herbis (mainly slow tanky ones like gramoss) and needed to know where to go and when to go there. Tbh I found it more realistic bc you had to migrate during different seasons.

I think the reason why you never managed to eat anything and we’re always hungry is because in Legacy you had to hold the E key (for pc, I forget what it is for mobile but you still have to hold that button down) whereas in recode you just press it once. It’s quite a big difference surprisingly

i, too, am a veteran from beta but i genuinely dont see how the game has gotten better. beta actually had nice people just calmly playing the game and having fun and now its guaranteed to be ridden with obnoxious people who do nothing but constantly have wars and just KOS KOS KOS no matter if they're alone or in a group. this is exactly why i quit last year, though the situation was arguably less worse than it is for me now. hell, im just minding my own business and this randomass kiiwin walks up to me with like a bazillion buffs from traits and plushies and whatever and starts absolutely demolishing me??? sometimes i can't even pass through a biome because some people have claimed it as their territory and will just gatekeep that area and kill everyone who gets near beta had people just calmly sit in that one main island with the pond & waterfalls and if any fights occurred it was _usually_ outside of that area. i vividly remember being able to grab onto a piece of meat with other players and we could just do silly tug of war fights and start spazzing out by levitating and glitching out all over the place,, it was buggy, yes, but it was actually _Fun_ and _Enjoyable_ unlike randomly just being bitchslapped to death by this random invisible oxy or sigma when you're nesting as far away as possible from every populated area in the server. me and a few other people used to be able to make glitched skins on creatures where we could have colours from other species back when palettes didn't exist and people would just stare at us like "O_O HOW?!" nytoltalus, kiridian, khetheral, saukuryn, old lissiceous, ikoran, morinus, diesura, exterreri, lure, koipise, chamei, reviiaton, therolachus, shro, sarchias, alkaksu, miik, moemoea, lmakosauruodon, kriffin, kehmador, arrainoa, chrysos, dragonixsauria, vin'rou (kaluaka), nimoona, nindyr, qurugosk.... god. people would actually somewhat play as various creatures for fun instead of solely picking one creature to main for the purpose of combat whenever they want to fight. i just find it sad

The map was really small and in 10 minutes you could check all the places. I guess if you were one of the people who stayed in oasis you thought food was impossible to find.
