Oh my goodness! This was such a delightful video to watch! I had just over an hour to wait here in Cornwall for a train and it was bliss to be transported from this rather nippy and chilly railway station to sunny Cala Bona and Cala Millor. That ice cream looked so good! Really fancy some strawberry ice cream now! Thank you so much for the two mentions for my channel and for the admin team thanks. It’s an absolute pleasure to admin. 😊

Hi, thanks for the video I now can see in reality the many times I spent here traveling with my late friend that passed a few years back. I have seen a few travel video`s of the country about, thanks to my friend introducing me to it, he had been traveling there since 1965 he did once lice there for a short while but the call of the UK was to strong & returned. As I had finished driving he was my tour guide/driver & friend in his 80`s when he was in care. First time out of UK for me when we stayed in Palmanova first then again later in 2009 in Cala Bona, after he passed went a few more year to Cala Millor cycled to the otherside of the bay & other places.After I retired could no longer venture away but I have 1500 photo`s to look back to those grand days. Fish on the floor Cala Millor Fish a gonna Cala Bona is what we first heard being said in 1989 and it has always stuck with us and the sound of the Bird whistle man is the same, the soundtrack to our holidays... Yes Alex we have our favourite benches along that stretch!! Protur Alicia our hotel choice always now, like Simon we have also stayed at the Talayot Hotel when it was family run and I believe it was one of the first hotels in that area it is more like a boutique hotel now and aimed at a different clientele...

Great video, was there last Monday our last day, we had great weather as well. We had a lovely time in Cala Millor in September, stayed in the holiday village.(kids loved it there)20 minutes walk to the amazing beach, lovely restaurants and shops.

Just got home from watching lightning over a UK beach SW Hampshire. I had a video notification as subscribed. Been to Cala Millor now for 33 years. Owned an apartment for a few years now, and you showed the outside at the start of the video, left next to Castel de Mar Missed 1990 and 2020 & 2021 because of Covid. Took my dog from England through Channel Tunnel, and flew from Brussels twice. Small dog came in the cabin in a pet carrier, and really enjoyed her holidays. Back next year.

@@MallorcaUnderTheSun I lost my wife just over 7 years ago. I was recommended to get a dog, and got one just 9 days before lockdown. I had her Rabies jabbed for travel. Being small, a Yorkie , she stays with me for the whole journey , including the cabin in a pet carrier. Drive from Calais to Brussels is around 120 miles on mainly motorway, and an easy drive. Also plenty of service stops on route. The flight was with TUI Europe. Also, one clears passport control at Folkstone, and, just drive off the train at Calais straight on to French roads and motorways. The costs for 2022, I paid were : The Channel Tunnel for my dog in my car £22.00 each way in the car. Brussels to Palma, €50.00 each way for my Yorkie in the cabin The trip in may cost £170.00 for the vet paperwork from the UK, as is every trip Animal Health Certificate only valid for a single trip and up to 4 months. Having an apartment, ment I was able to get a Spanish Pet Passport for just €15.00. This can be used for the length of the passport Rabies Jab. I was also quoted just €5 for a return Tapeworm tablet administered by a vet to re enter to UK 24 to 120 hours after the tablet. Apologies for the length of the reply, but hopefully more people may decide to take their pets on a holiday as well as an option. If staying in a hotel, just check if the hotel will allow a pet before booking.

Hi Lee, I've just seen your fabulous recommendation for your journey here with your Yorkie. It appeared on my Youbtube app, but I can't see it on my Mac for some reason. Thank you so much. I actually screenshot it earlier and sent it to one of the girls who admins the Facebook group as she's looking to travel over with her pooch. If it's ok, I may turn what you said and lengthen it too and turn it into an article for the website so others can see your experience, (and I'll credit you obviously for this advice)...

@@MallorcaUnderTheSun Be My guest. I just wish it was easier for dogs to fly from UK rather than cargo. I was quoted £1000 each way to Barcelona as cargo with BA cargo, as I can remember and £800 to Malaga as cargo, and nothing to Palma. Also my dog never felt stressed, and we were able to have priority boarding and check in when TUI knew I had my dog. Really looking to being back in 2023 with my dog Jemma

Hello there! At 40:37 you walked past the best rated hotel (on Trip Advisor ) in Cala Bona, without comment. Hotel Gran Sol has been number one for years. We've been six times and love it. We had a week there earlier this month - no hassle at the airport - not asked to show Covid passes. Hope to go back in future years.......

Cafe Sureda is open all year round,closed on a Monday, cafe Jaumé a local bar too opposite the bip, Norai bar in the harbour stays open until November, Rope + Anchor stays open until November too, and Tasca restaurant , hope this helps
