A question that may have already been answered: Why do you dislike the Candy Cigarettes album so much? I understand some of it has aged poorly, but there are still some decent bangers on it imo (Be Afraid of Jesus is my jam). It's the first AJJ album I heard so I guess it's just got a special nostalgic place in my heart. As for song requests: I'm hoping for either All The Dead Kids / Unicron, or We're All Gonna Die from the O'Pioneers split. And for covers: Do you know any Laura Stevenson?

Question: So, the first thing about AJJ that really drew me in was your blatant honesty, especially lyrics where you talked about those nagging feelings of undue guilt and self-loathing. [For example, from Truckers are the Blood, "I hope I can forgive me for having the nerve to exist" & the last verse of Unicorn] So my question is, where do you think those feelings originated for you? (Hope that's not too personal) The running joke in my family that, since our ancestors were Irish-Catholic, guilt just runs in our blood. Unlikely that this is the sole cause, but I'd say it is somewhat learned, at least in my case.
