A shocking U.S. report reveals that a second American jet nearly was shot down over the Red Sea during airstrikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen. According to Fox News report, citing a military source, a U.S. Navy fighter jet narrowly escaped a "friendly missile". Second Super Hornet was targeted by a missile from the Gettysburg while preparing to land aboard the Truman. Earlier, The USS Gettysburg missile cruiser mistakenly struck an F/A-18 jet from the USS Harry S. Truman on December 21, as reported by U.S. Central Command. The U.S. Navy has not reacted to the second jet report while Houthi rebels have accused America of attempting to conceal the "humiliation" of the Red Sea confrontation.
