The UK essentially argues that the court should not offer an opinion, because the opinion might matter. It is purely coincidental that the UK's racism and mishandling of its responsibilities in the world was the original cause of today's calamities. In the UK's own court hearings, justice has no bearing on the outcome, as one can see in the decade of abuse of Julian Assange and countless other cases. In the present case it goes on to clarify, according to the UK, that a murderer should not be brought to trial without the murderer's full approval of such trial and a specific foreseen outcome.

Its absurd that the UK has this position. As a Scot, im not surprised they try and use a technicality in order to justify occupation and genocide. I hope the court ignores the UK's opinion and delivers an opinion based on the merits of the case and the inalienable right to self determination. Words do not justify the murder of innocent human beings, irrespective of the people doing it. Israel has lost sight of basic human principles and the court is designed SPECIFICALLY to hear cases in which countries are not following International law. Occupation, by its very definition illegal and has no basis in law for it's continuation. Arguing in favour of occupation is abhorrent and today im disgusted to be a citizen of the United Kingdom. There are no excuses and over 75% of the public demand an immediate ceasefire. Represent us accurately for the sake of humanity!

I agree that the court should not have an opinion, it should have a resolution and the members of the UN body should enforce it. I'm not a law professional, I'm talking just from common sense. Everywhere each court mandates a resolution and the involved parties have to comply, why would it be different in this case?

Israel's atrocities does not deserve a thought. It does not respect any law or order. All parties deserve respect but not give one party the right to attack the other on such a mass scale. One has to remember that the US and the UK have supported Israel with Weapons of Mass Destruction and their personnel on the ground. How much more does Israel deserve. The Palestinians have lost many lives and their lives have been turned upside down. At the same time, the oct7 attack is the result of 57 years of oppression by Israel. Many Palestinians have died in that period of occupation. The Court have to look at all the laws Israel has broken. It invites terror at its doorstep by their brutal conduct towards the occupied people on their land. Today, the land of the occupied people have been decimated. and rendered unhabitable. These illegal conduct is against the international law that all states must abide by. I hope the Court will rule strictly on the rights of the Palestinian people. They have suffered a lot but at the same time, protect Israel's security. The only security that Israel will have is when the occupation of Palestine is ended. The Palestinians have a right to a life with the same rights as Israel. Thousands have died, injured and permanently maimed to save their homeland. I trust the Court will rule honestly and fairly.

I only understood occupation, or but look, the court knows the law and only in this case it does not apply it, perhaps with a delayed outbreak. But because they are so old in the court, it seemed to me that they were sleepy, and that doesn't bode well while the people in Gaza have no protection. Yes, ICJ can rule on the Gaza genocide and Israel's occupation if there is respect for international laws and the United Nations, the depositary of global affairs. It's possible that if all nations are equal under a multipolar political order, the UN organ should never be under the control or supervision of any nation. The UN mandate though obsolete colonial relics is a collective duty. It is a fact that we live in a free, multipolar world, and unipolar, deluded nations are the global problem. The United States and a few allies have no moral high ground, honor, or the right to prefect any country in the world or pull the strings of the UN and any of its organs. This is especially true after the US litany of shameful vitriols of international order and law. The US conduct and spread out complicity in the Palestinian genocide, for instance, are the final straws that evoked international revulsion and fortified the belief and need for multipolarism. The US respects no one, including its citizens. It has no regard for anyone or anything, not even the age-old falsifying international order and the human rights it feigned to defend. What makes one nation so unique to colonize, control, enslave, or deter others from accomplishing exactly what it practices in public and private? Americans' contorted self-reflection has unfailingly shown a mistaken image of a nation under the political system of democracy when it's an accursed plutocracy in reality It's delusional for the United States to assume it's a law unto itself.
