I'd like to clarify that Dougal was staying with a family for whom Gaelic is the primary language spoken at home. So when I greet him I say 'Cò tha siud!? Cò tha siud!?' It means 'Who's that?! Who's that?!' but it sounds like something quite rude to English speakers ;@)

Haha! When I first learned “siud” in Gàidhlig I was double checking my pronunciation because it caught me by surprise!

Hari OM Thanks, Andrew, thorough as ever! Although I would never buy one of these. They need to start thinking electric... still, I do like to see what works and what doesn't... and for a heart-stopping minute I thought we weren't going to get our Dougal fix. He even managed to be smiling to have you home and throwing that ball!!! YAM xx

They do indeed, but I think some are also holding out to see what hydrogen does. It took about 10 years to get EVs that could seriously tow a caravan, so I think we might have to wait a few years still :-/ Thanks for watching as always xx

Having a shorter and longer review is a very good idea (but you know that, Andrew). If anyone is in the market for that kind of motorhome, watch the hour-long movie, if you are just curious, maybe the shorter one. I think, there's a definite need for shorter videos on KZbin or options like this for them, as it saves folk dropping out after a few minutes. As for the motorhome, having stayed in it for a number of days and nights, a real review can be given. What a great set of videos!

Many thanks P&J! Yes, this was exactly the thinking behind making the two videos. Mind you, some folks who watched the short review are complaining about lack of details which are in the full review! #youcantpleaseeveryone ;@)

Beautiful scenery, I can't think of many better ways to experience it. Contrary to popular opinion I dislike opaque bathroom windows, clear with a blind and flyscreen all the way! Gorgeous quality motorhome with some very classy touches. My favourite part is the pull down bed. Fully appreciate the effort you've put in to this video, bringing us a really rather excellent and thorough review. Perfect!

I love the front drop down bed and the lay out but it would be too big for me.Maybe one day(when funds were available) I could look into a smaller version.The reunion brought a tear to my eye Andrew,thank you for showing that.

Now watched both reviews and as usual you give a quality loaded verdict and are totally unbiased! Great motorhome, front bed is a definite plus and all the lighting including above the cabin is excellent! Big bed, wow! I wouldn't have to worry about extending it as I'm only 5ft 4in! Looked really comfortable and the bathroom door, again?!! Is this a regular niggle? Looks like it! Overall a fantastic review and you look well, I hope your blood pressure is behaving now?! I'm still tired all the time, went into Birmingham to see the bull etc and it took me over 2 days to get over it! Mind you, my sister and I walked a long way down the canals but it was lovely! A lovely sunny day in my hometown which hasn't done itself any harm this last 11 days! Well done to everyone concerned, you should be proud! We certainly are! Catch you next time, Dougal was so happy to see you! Hugs xxx 😘🐕🥰

Thanks Anne :) Sadly the Rona has knocked the running etc on the head and like you, I get exhausted very very easily. I spent 5 days unable to do anything after this trip. So I'm not sure about the BP - one thing at a time! Hugs back xx

Thanks for the comprehensive review as always. Not keen on the travel seats - much better in the Adamo and indeed recent Swifts. Love the new Ducato cab. That reversing screen is a poor afterthought, it really should be standard and integrated. I think that I read Truma won't be doing iNet because of component shortages. Is that toilet up on a plinth? Shame there's no TV in the bedroom, how can we watch Andrew Ditton in bed? Mind you that front bed looks very generous and easy to use. It puts us off island beds when I can't get past them, OK for short narrow people! Oh those magnetic catches, they seem to fail depending on how level the motorhome sits. Thanks for the full review.

Cheers Bob! Always appreciated coming from someone who knows what he's talking about. Thanks for the heads-up on iNet. As for the magnetic catches... what's wrong with an old-fashioned physical latch? :-/

I have actually removed the blind in the bathroom and with the light on at night there's no silhouette, those frosted windows do a pretty good job regarding privacy...

@@andrewjditton Airport chaos……most of it is mischief by the press.our family went through Manchester into the lounges in under 30 minutes ……this was on Friday.more concerning is Dover but even that is sorting itself out.

I'm not sure why there is an issue with the screen integration. Our 2022 Ducato Series 8 (Weinsberg Caracompact 600MEG Pepper, that I recall you reviewing a while back) works perfectly with the reversing image displaying on the dash (Pioneer) screen. Seems odd to me. Did it not integrate in 'your' Weinsberg? Excellent review btw, as always.
@andrewjditton2 жыл бұрын
Good to know thanks Steve. The Weinsberg I looked at was at the Dusseldorf show so was not able to drive it. Weird inconsistencies there, eh?

Ooh! It’s lovely! 😍 It’s interesting that as with the previous loan you had, there seems to be some parts that haven’t changed for a long time. My 03 Italian mh doesn’t have flyscreen or blind in the washroom and I have a power socket under the sink next to the cooker. 🤔 By the way both short and long versions are valuable 🙂

Thanks Mads! Yes, I think there is a good case for both versions. Cheers! xx

Andrew, can I ask, do motorhome manufacturers actually watch your reviews and do they act on the input you provide? If not, it seems to me that they are missing a great opportunity to improve their products. Have you ever considered or been offered a consultative role in the design process?
@andrewjditton2 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul, I'm sure they do watch (because they'd be down like a ton of bricks if it was misrepresented) but as for acting upon them... well, I'm sure it gets taken into account. I would love to play a consultative role in the design process and have offered but... not yet. Thanks for watching.

Hi Andrew love your reviews but you should stop saying to deduct 75kg of payload per passenger as it is their actual weight (clothed) that counts. The 75 kg is the accepted industry standard for the driver so everyone uses the same numbers. If the driver weighs more or less than 75kg then that also either increases or decrease’s the available payload.
@andrewjditton2 жыл бұрын
You're right Andrew, but it's just an average figure to at least make people aware and give some approximate payload figures. 'Three passengers leaves you with about 300kg payload' hits home more succinctly than 'deduct the weight of your passengers from the MTPLM.' I don't think this is made clear enough in the industry. Cheers!
