Really enjoyed the interview - one of the best vids you have done IMO

I'm a good deal older, been a regional airline pilot worker bee for almost 30 years, and wanted to be a Navy pilot when I was young, but didn't have the eyesight. I still love military aviation, but the best part of your channel is what you do to inspire young people. Also, what I have found interesting is how much of your military experience involves going after the jobs you want once you actually make it into the system, not unlike any other career path. Anyway, great stuff. Thanks.

Great idea! Many recommended DCS youtubers, like Growing Sidewinder, GrimReaper, Ate(Real Rafale pilot).

Hey Mover did I hear correctly you've fought against it?
@CWLemoine4 жыл бұрын
Yes. I did some testing against it when we were making sure it was possible for someone to fight it.

He already said DCS pilots are better than him. Something something, feedback, something something, spatial awareness.

Mover this is off topic but I was wondering... if you have time, did you have to learn all about the "TGP" and weapons systems before flying the F-16 aircraft ? I notice in DCS I struggle to operate all the systems while flying yet I can fly the plane proficiently.... :/

What do you think of CFT on f16s

Great get Mover, fascinating topic and amazing insight. Great job on getting this interview, awsome for Folds of Honor, I hope we break the bank this year.

Wow, You **MUST** live stream that. If KZbin doesn't put that up front and center, they'd be stupid! I'd pay, as in pay per view, to watch Lex Talionis and Mover take a shot at the AI!

Loan Falco to Eagle Dynamics for a year. Then ED do a compulsory update in DCS. Heron Systems can get a whole lot of combat data from Falco fighting thousands of users. Its basically a Test and Evaluation phase for Falco.

I agree 100%, the only problem is the giant PC people would have to get. Otherwise it would only work if ED would open their own fighting server on multiplayer and stream the AI into dcs like these guys did with x plane.. it would be full of lag because of tons of people.. good times :))

If a team of 32 can accomplish this, imagine what the guys at Google/Microsoft AI guys have cooking.

If anything their take away was don't learn from human, they're really bad at this game. Do your machine thing. And interesting opinion from their field that better not have the "loyal wingman" thing. I think that might stem from the fact that machine human communication is very problematic and the result may not be synergistic.

Not to belittle the code writers or Heron, but so what if AI beat a pilot in VR combat. How about a test of a real life pilot and plane vs AI piloted aircraft. Oh wait.... AI isn’t there yet. All in all mover this was a great video and I learned a lot. 👍

It’s a significant milestone. New tech has to prove itself incrementally. Or do you think DoD will just donate these guys some F16s to drop their code in based on nothing but optimism and high hopes...
@JP-vw7pb4 жыл бұрын
Wanderlust073 Dumping money into big tech leaps is pretty much what DARPA is. My point was more about techies who might want to celebrate too early. Yes, this a milestone, but don’t start thinking that humans will be out of the cockpit anytime soon. I appreciate your perspective, even if I might differ with it.
