What ALL Great Show Jumpers have is: They can see a Stride and Put that horses leading Hoof on the Spot. There are a lot of other things needed too!! But if you can see a stride (or Feel a stride), then am. or pro. rider, you'll be ok/good at show jumping. slán (bye)

wow- jumping in a standing martingale.... how the times have changed, i owuldn't think he uses that as common practise these days.....

He's a horseman of old school and that is not a bad thing. Learn to ride, learn your horse, and realize that almost all faults are yours. The horse is just doing what you ask.
