There’s a crazy strong hold in a cult that you could never understand unless you experience that sort of brainwashing. Brainwashing since birth, it’s all you’ve ever known because your parents control your every move and isolate you from the world. You’re never a moment alone, you have no privacy, you’re told what to think and when. God forbid your facial expressions show what you’re thinking. The repercussions range from mental abuse to physical abuse almost always. That abuse gets dressed as love, it’s such a messed up situation. I was raised just like them and homeschooled. My nails were checked, my teeth were checked, my skirts were measured, I was beat with a stick (all due to love and discipline), I wasn’t allowed TV, music, friends or even family who did not attend the same exact church. Then my mom gave me over to a man to molest me under her watch and she left the church for another psycho. That’s when I left. I was 17 and I basically escaped. My mom called the cops on me to return me home to my abuser and I begged and pleaded to pls let me live with a neighbor who was very kind to me. I actually made friends with her under the pretense of me tutoring her for math (she was a grown woman and suspected something was wrong in my home, so she said she wanted to refresh on her math and hired me as a tutor. She started to ask questions and I opened up). The cops and Judge actually decided to let me stay with her I was 2 months shy of 18. I never went back to church again. I never stopped believing in God, I saw his hand carry me in so many instances when I left. I hit a big job at 18 with no experience and got a place of my own. Anyway, all that to say I feel like she needs mental health help, she needs to undo that brainwashing. I still work on that, it’s been 18 years but it’s so hard to undo all the guilt from the abuse. They always tell you you’re a sinner for like any little reason. You must be a doormat in order to get to heaven, that’s what cults teach. And none of that is true. Anyhow I hope and pray her kids are saved from that cult because it’s not right what they’re making those kids go through.

Per federal law Josh will have to serve 85 percent of his 12.5 years so approximately 10 years 6 months. I am frustrated that that is not enough. Still no acceptance of his crimes, still support from his wife & parents, still no acceptance of treatment. While the victims serve life sentences without parole, treatment or any compensation. In federal jail they Have to serve a minimum of 85% of the sentence. So he will be there atleast 10 years

85% of a federal sentence must be served. He also has 20 years supervised release. He is not allowed to access porn, even adult. He will reoffend. The fact that his attorneys even inquired about this shows where his mind is at.
