I think the sound variation is not varied RPM, but an unaligned burr. Just look at the shaft in the previous video, and how it's moving from side to side. I would send it back. In any way, I'd rather spend this much money on a DF64. I will not buy this grinder for more than a $100, and for that price I'd get a manual hand grinder from a reputable brand. They have more work to do to impress coffee enthusiasts :) I do however like the design and the wooden accent.

Its same as Varia Junk and I own and purchased Varia but you get free is ok
