Its the balloon-borne solar observatory Sunrise III. A mission of the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research (MPS, Germany). Sunrise III looked at the sun from the stratosphere using a 1-metre telescope, three scientific instruments and an image stabilisation system. A Spanish consortium led by the Instituto de Astrofísica de Andalucía (IAA, Spain), the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ, Japan), the Applied Physics Laboratory of Johns Hopkins University (APL, USA) and the Leibniz Institute for Solar Physics (KIS, Germany) are significantly involved in the mission. Other partners are NASA's Columbia Scientific Ballooning Facility (CSBF) and the Swedish Space Corporation (SSC). Sunrise III is supported by the Max Planck Foundation. Meanwhile landed in Kanada. Mission very successful! All science instruments worked! Now the scientists are analyzing all data.
