What's the craziest thing you've ever seen happen live on the news?

I haven’t seen it but the death of Christine Chubbuck will always haunt me. She was an accomplished woman, more than likely nuerodivergent, who battled life long depression before she took her own life with a gun, live on the news.

I don’t believe it was on the news but rather a press conference, when Budd Dwyer pulled a .44 Magnum out of a manila envelope, told everybody to “stay back this will hurt you”. He then put the revolver in his mouth and pulled the trigger. I was probably 13-14 when I saw the footage on an “Underground DVD”. I had never heard or read anything about Budd Dwyer so the clip was very shocking to me. My adrenaline spiked immediately. I just remember thinking how fake it looked compared to a head being blown off in a movie. There was no blood spatter on the wall behind him. As soon as he pulled the trigger, blood began *pouring* out of his nose like someone turned on a faucet in his head. The blood was SO red and his face turned white as a ghost within seconds. I hope the ppl that framed him for embezzlement saw the clip and see it every time they close their eyes at bedtime

There was one I remember a long time ago where the reporter was standing at the intersection of two streets, stating that there were a lot of accidents at the intersection and how people were calling for a traffic light there, but the city refused to install one. While doing this, a car careened through the intersection, running a stop sign and ramming into a station wagon. Although the accident was a good 60 feet away from her, the female reporter let out a loud scream and jumped offscreen. They then cut to a commercial, but when they came back, they said the reporter was fine, just stunned.

Left out, in June 2001, during Tropical Storm Allison flooding Houston, on two occasions, reporters jeopardized their lives, putting down the microphone, to save people. On one of those, the reporter swam out to an 18 wheeler driver (who couldn't swim) to rescue the driver. On the second, the female reporter, on a boat, jumped overboard to rescue people in a military truck, that suddenly began sinking in the deep water.

I was watching the morning news in Nashville in the winter of 1987. While a field reporter was reporting the news, he belched. My mother and I couldn't help but laugh.

People have transient ischemic attacks, which are sometimes called "mini-strokes." They don't do permanent or long-lasting effects as full-blown strokes do. I have TIAs in the area of the brain that affects speech. I can't remember any words at all. But it usually only lasts a few seconds. I've had these attacks while I was teaching, but they were so fast that I was able to cover for them.

Dude doing a video on clearing snow off your car before you drive should go viral because I’m in Colorado and it’s truly the lazy that start snow covered vehicles and yes, driving without clearing snow off their windows, running through icy residential stop signs where children are walking to school, dog owners are out walking their dogs too, not to mention people driving to work and trying to avoid these lazy people!
