Saying we deserve a bad pope does not legitimize all the wrong and immoral changes being brought about especially in our worship and in terms of examples to our children. I went to a primary (elementary) Catholic school attached to a Franciscan church in the 60s and I remember Masses being said at the side altars whilst our Mass was on the High Altar. Sometimes we'd go in during lunchtime and one of the friars would be saying Mass on his own at a tiny side altar. So beautifully solemn and quiet.
