My 15 year old son decided one day a year ago that he wanted to be baptized and join our local Catholic Church, St. Mary’s. My husband and I are believers in God and Jesus Christ, but we were never church goers, and we both were raised Baptist. Despite that fact , my husband and I fully support him and he attends mass every Sunday. And takes a class every Tuesday because he wants to be baptized. Normally my husband goes with him, but today he had to work , so for the first time I got to witness my son and his appreciation, dedication and respect for everything and all members of St. Mary’s. So, I’ve been watching KZbin videos to get some knowledge on Catholic religion and let me tell you, I’ve been listening to you all evening, and it’s very eye opening. Appreciate your work.

TheLittleThingsiife. How awesome that your young son felt drawn to God and to Catholicism on his own. As you see from the comments, Catholics who raised their children in the faith but they have fallen away which makes them sad. I hope you will join your son by learning about Catholicism. Read about Carlo Acutis who like your son, was drawn to Jesus and received Communion as a young child. His parents, in turn , were moved to learn more and became Catholic. Sadly, Carlo died at age 15 from leukemia. He did much research on Eucharistic miracles and is on his way to sainthood. The Church has declared him “Blessed”. As people pray for his intercession and prove his miraculous help through the grace of God, he will be declared Venerable, and then Saint. You and your husband will benefit from joining him on the one true Faith, the Catholic Church instituted by Christ. Welcome. There’s a lovely book for children about Carlo and his interest in computers.

My mother’s side is Episcopalian. I was raised a cradle Catholic. When I was 28, I heard the words in my head “Jesus is coming back & you are not going back with Him”. I had an instant conversion. I, also, wanted to go to church again but thought I would try a protestant church for community. I had the idea that how can I leave The Church if I don’t know anything about it? I called to have the house blessed. A new priest showed up. He instantly took to us. Taught us the faith & I have loved it ever since. Learn it because it will change your life like you could never imagine.

St. Padre Pio and St. John Vianney both suffered from infestation, but they persevered and became saints. Please pray for children in my extended family who have not been baptized yet. A few months ago, I had auditory hallucinations which happened after taking a prescription drug, a drug I needed for a serious medical condition. I could not get this voice to go away until I began praying the Holy Rosary and said the first Hail Mary. At those two words, "Hail Mary," it vanished instantly. Thank you Jesus and Mother Mary.

"Demons Live in our wounds" Once Fr. Martins said this it was like a shot of adrenaline hit my soul. No Wonder God teaches us to Forgive even the enemy, No Wonder He teaches us to Pray Always. If you are praying (just even if its short one liners or one word like "Jesus") you are not wallowing in woundedness. If you Forgive those who wound you - physically, mentally, spiritually, there is no place for that demon to settle in. Its like "Sorry, this space is already occupied" Our society is constantly promoting in one way or another 'don't forgive, don't forget' hang on to your woundedness.' I cringe when I hear someone say "I will never forgive that person this or that......" Its like they are saying "I give up heaven now so I can feel this misery and soak it up." Demons love misery.

Forgiveness does not require you to ask for it or even accept it. It is an act of will on the forgivers part entirely. You don't have to have changed your wisdom about the person in order to forgive them either - if they are toxic then stay away but forgive at a distance. Forgiveness does not require we become friends. Its like I am saying to God - "I don't hold this debt against that person and I pray you won't either so they can be in eternal happiness with you." Sometimes you have to do it a million times because the demon will keep trying to stir it up in you the wound they created.

Lights were turning on and off, things falling for no reason, white mist floating by and my husband had pressure on his chest while in bed- he felt like something got into bed with him, thought it was our cat. The cat wasnt there, next he felt pressure on his chest, couldn't talk...he prayed to Jesus in his mind and it stopped. We called our priest and he performed an exorcism on our home. The only Church that Jesus Christ chose from The Apostles is The Catholic Church and that Church made The BIBLE, someone stolen the Bible that was given to the only Church, but they started teaching a different Gospel that's why there are so many false churches. I absolutely loved this; I've heard it twice now, especially the part where he says when he is examining someone for possession, he has someone in the next room pray for them. I do this a lot, and it really works amazingly well. I pray in my mind for someone (a stranger) standing next to me and they will turn and look at me and say, What are you doing? Stop It! it's amazing. I often use this when people are arguing and it is escalating ( usually neighbors). I pray to God that while I know everyone has free will, He has ultimate control of everyone. I ask Him to send archangels over there to break it up, and to govern their thoughts, because they are being manipulated by the devil, and don't realize it. Then I wait. The fight usually ends in 5 minutes. 😇It is amazing how calm people will become when you pray for them silently in your head. Best way to break up a fight, or when the devil is using someone like a puppet and putting thoughts in their head to come and start and argument with you. You just pray silently, and it's almost like the spell the devil has them under breaks temporarily.

Im beyond grateful for the ministry of the exorcists! I have been extremely afflicted and oppressed and the past few years have gone through some of the most HORRIFIC things a person could ever experience. I spent 20 years practicing witchcraft and deep into new age practices. My life fell apart in ways i hope no one will ever experience from homelessness, severe abuse including an attack by my ex so terrible and chillingly horrific that im lucky to be alive and looked into the eyes of satan himself that night. I was found unconscious and bleeding from my ears and the police caught him in the act. It was nothing short of a miracle that i somehow had 30 seconds to call 911 and the police got there as quickly as they did. This was after my ex told me no one could hear me and no one was coming for me when i screamed for help and then decided to pray because i knew god could. My ex was initially charged with a minimum sentence of 26 years in prison for how atrocious the attack was. i even suffered my children being taken away for two months without contact in the wake of my exes abuse and were basically kidnapped by him and his evil schemes. Id spent every day of their 12 and 13 years with them because id never been allowed to work (or talk on the phone, or go to the grocery store without showing a receipt for the time when i got home). I spent 15 years as a slave and suffering every kind of abuse which spiraled into a series of events that shook my town and made us outcasts depsite my years of serving the kids school at every party and event. I had only just moved to my state when i met my ex and was isolated ever since. Even chairing pta events at the school had its consequences. Ive done everything to rehabilitate my life with the help of professionals including therapy 3x a week and medication, etc. After listening to some interviews with father Ripperger i tested his notion that "demons hate gregorian chants" and listened to it when i went to sleep. I have suffered the most diabolic night terrors and sleep paralysis in which id wake up to demons all over my room as a "ptsd symptom," waking up every hour on the hour and was on nightmare-specific medication they give to veterans to help, but they never did. When i had the gregorian chants playing i had my first full night of sleep in over two years! Even writing that brings me to tears of relief. I havent had a nightmare since. After that, i RAN back to my Catholic church for the first time in many years. I go to daily mass, weekly confession, and weekly adoration. I stay in a state of grace at all costs. Im still in the struggle to piece my life together and to clean up the mess in me and my childrens lives after everything thats happened and was left with bills that were at least 3 months behind and i hadnt worked in many years and could barely function from the traumas, but my Heavenly Father took ALL the pain away in an instant! I dont feel panicked every minute, or everwhelmed, or depressed and defeated. A year ago i had to call my therapist to talk me through stepping out of my house and met me at my destination. All the aches and suffering are gone! All i feel is gratitude and excitement for this life ive been given now. He is genuinely my redeemer, and i will spend every moment and every breath praising His name! The demons are still trying to tear my life apart, but i have no fear whatsoever. God is always with me and wants the best for me. I am His eternally, and there isn't anything in any realm that could make me turn away from him. "Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen."

How much of your will did the evil one obtain before these things began to happen to you? You mentioned witchcraft and new age practices. What drew you away from God if you don’t mind me asking? At what point did you start to experience a benefit from those dark practices and when did things begin to turn ugly? I am wrestling with a problem that a lot of prayer to God isn’t seeming to fix, and you know what starts to go through one’s head- loss of faith and hope. Some people turn away from God at that point and even consider other belief systems. I am just curious about what triggered your departure from faith and what attracted you to dark things in the beginning. Thank you!
@SaltedHope Жыл бұрын
@chrisheidt4409 The evil one males subtle changes in someone's character until he's confident to tear them down into the darkness completely. Demons live in the wounds of our traumas. Though I have heard that christ doesn't listen to the prayers of sinners. Just as the demons can't communicate with Him. He does if they ask forgiveness and even more so when they repent. Yet, in my experience, god has helped move mountains in the worst of my traumas because i chose to praise Him through it and ask him to use that hurt as a blessing. When I was at my darkest, it was when the war within me had taken over. My advice from all the highs and lows of my life is to build up your faith. The closer you are to God the better you'll see and hear him. Go to adoration as often as possible as well as confession. These things are POWERFUL. literally all you have to do is grow closer to go and let go of whatever keeps you from him (mortal sins but all venial sins fade the more you conquer mortal sins)and He'll handle the rest. He will rebuild your life in ways you never thought possible if you give it to Him through your faith. He wants that for you. Some sins are difficult to give up but the more you go to confession and receive the eucharist in a state of grace you'll end up naturally repulsed that you ever chose anything else. There's nothing else in existence as great as a closeness to our Heavenly Father.

Some hit a lot of points in a short period of time while others are a bit more long winded but I do agree with you this Priest is excellent at speaking and was thinking before I read your comment, 'the Lord sure does work through this Priests communication style" But do listen to the others so long as they are true because we ought not be too attached to one or another.

The thief went to paradise with Jesus not heaven. Jesus even said when they saw him don’t touch I have not ascended yet. Although I believe paradise is a place or a process sort of like the Catholic teaching on purgatory. Not necessarily a place but nothing unclean can enter heaven. You will not enter until you have the last penny. So I believe by faith the thief entered heaven eventually not a second chance but went through a cleansing. Only 2 places the Church teaches Heaven or Hell no second chances, but some of us believers still have things in us selfishly needs to been rid of, not necessarily deadly sins but our thought processes etc. Glad you are enjoying his teaching even if we have differences. Christ is king of all! Saved by Faith through Grace working out our Salvation(I see as our relationship with Christ) if we decide to walk away we will be lost forever. By Grace you have been saved not of your own. So it’s the Grace God gave us to start with. God bless you and all

Excellent teaching. I will add that in my experience as a priest I have found that sins against nature, especially the sins of abortion and sodomy, are far more likely to open the doors to demonic possession than sexual sins; and definitely any dabbling in the occult is an open door and the victims can also be family members. Fr. Carlos' Christology (and this comes out also in the movie "Nefarious" that Father was an advisor for) is very much in the Thomistic school - Christ is seen as a "plan B" after Adam's fall and if Adam hadn't sinned there would have been no Incarnation, no Mother of God, etc. Fr. Gabriel Amorth, on the other hand, dedicates the entire first chapter of his book "An Exorcist Tells His Story" to establishing a more christocentric perspective of creation, namely, that Christ was willed first (sin or no sin) and because of Adam's sin God adds mercy through the suffering, death and resurrection of His Incarnate Son; Fr. Amorth says that otherwise the mystery of Christ, the Word-Incarnate, would not be central to the angelic world since it would only be a remedy for Adam's sin. Ven. Mary of Agreda and St. Maximilian both have amazing quotes stating that the test of the Angels was in fact a vision of Jesus and Mary and the choice to serve or not serve them as King and Queen of all creation. At any rate, I point this out because many Catholics are not even aware that there are 2 schools of Christology when it comes to the primary motive of the Incarnation and that the christocentric view (not occasioned by sin) was held by Doctors of the Church like St. Francis De Sales, St. Lawrence of Brindisi and St. John of the Cross.

I dont recall my baptism, but I remember the day my dad brought home a framed picture of the Sacred Heart and introduced Jesus to me as God. I still remember the wonder I felt at gazing at that picture representation of Jesus. The next day, my parents werent home and I was alone w just a babysitter and she was somewhere in the house while I crept up to my dad’s room where the picture of Jesus lay on top of his tallboy drawer.I climbed all the way up that dresser and cradled that picture in my lap and sang to it. That is now a vague memory, but a few years back, when I was in the midst of despair and cried out to God in prayer for help, I dreamt of Jesus. And because I felt deep shame and unworthy of being the presence of God even in a dream, I was shying away from him and could not even look up at him directly. He said to me in the dream, “Come and sit in my lap” and I recall thinking in the dream, “ how can I? He is such a fragile young man and I am this overweight middle age woman that it will be like my son’s nursery rhyme book that says ‘an elephant sat on you’ as I thought abt a white elephant cartoon crushing a cartoon man with his weight. Jesus chuckled at me in the dream and said “Why are you suddenly feeling shy? Dont you remember the last time you sat in my lap?” and suddenly that memory of me so many years ago came back so clear..down to the dress and shoes I was wearing and my hair in pigtails. Jesus said to me just before I woke up, “I made you, and you are perfect as you are”

A truly transformational Catholic teaching: thank you Fr. Martins. Your revelations on "Transfer of Sin" among families has been especially helpful and assuring to me. Since my early teens, I saw myself as a future physician, and worked very hard to achieve my vocation as a healer at a medical school in California. However, moral practices in my training hospitals I found abhorrent and left the profession during residency training - years of detachment from my Catholic faith. In the past three decades, I have worked on understanding my experiences and losses and wrote one book. Now, I am planning my second book - based on the those experiences - but from the perspective of my Catholic faith. My current vocation is science teacher. Very grateful to have found your channel.

I am a Catholic and I was possessed. I come from a family that does not believe and brought in demons in our home. What happens is a gradual turning from God and getting involved with things contrary to God,: drugs, occult, sexual immorality etc. It's an unconscious slipping into darkness that sweeps you away without you really understanding what is happening, just that you don't understand what is happening. The soul knows but the mind is snared. When I hit rock bottom, Jesus saved me. No one else did and still no one else has awoken. Confession helped, Christian community helped but it's a lifelong battle to release these chains. Those with ears hear. I feel sorry because many don't understand. I believe the church and all true Christian workers aligned with his word need to work together in these last day. Street evangelists need to be ramped up, door to door, tv commercials, internet commercials, school evangelism, Christians that are watchful, outreach, seminars....the WORD has to become more apparent, louder so that it can reach people's ears that is our only hope in this increasingly demonic and techno-inhuman world to come. Joshua 1:9 ESV Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Amen! 🙏🏼✝️🕊️ This is beautifully stated and very similar to what I experienced. In 2007, I was baptized in the Catholic Church as an adult. Weeks leading up to my baptism, I was a victim of a terrible crime committed by a friend who was a police officer (we both worked in law enforcement). Despite my deep trauma, I went through with the baptism, but fell away from the Church soon after, (e.g., drugs, sexual promiscuity, etc.). I felt possessed in the years following, but it took additional trauma caused by my sin to actually humble me and to quit the drugs, fornication, etc. In 2020, I prayed the sinners prayer and asked Jesus to help. It was like the snap of a fingers where my heart was pouring out with love and happiness and felt His Holy Spirit filled me! Also, I had acquired a child-like innocence and a love for others that was foreign to me. I never quite experienced that when I was attending the Church back in the late 2000s, but I never gave it a chance and still identify as a Catholic. Were you active in the Catholic Church (e.g., attending services) when you felt Jesus saved you, or were you distant from it like I was? God bless you for your sharing! I’ll keep you and your family in my prayers. 🙏🏼✝️🕊️

In regards to what people watch on television: I am constantly having to switch channels because there is always something sordid, vulgar, evil in many programs nowadays. People may even say that it's nothing, or say it's just a lighthearted joke, etc. but it IS a problem as these gradually increase to more evil things and in the long run, desensitize us. I remember growing up in the 70s my mom would either turn off the TV or change the channel when something bad would appear. Those shows, in comparison to what is shown today, may be considered "not a big deal" in today's world. But see how the devil works? If we keep allowing more seemingly innocuous stuff in our home, to quote Fr. Martins, all hell will break loose! So, let's be on our guard. It would probably be better to chuck the TV, but who's going to do that? I have limited my TV watching to The Weather Channel, METV (or any vintage channels) or select more decent stuff to watch on the internet!

Gabi, Thank you for this talk by Fr . Martins to break down in such an everyday type of way just how real the devil and his demons' whiles are. The movie Nefarious also showed it in a way like no other. But most of us do not have such a complete case of possession. Thank God that is rare!! But certainly possible. The Exorcist Files podcast is awesome, but some folks just do not want to go there. It is either too spooky or they don't think the devil is real so they dismiss such things as hoakey. Being able to get aquainted with Fr. Carlos Martin's work in such a casual talk helps more people see his awesome 'yes' response to whatever God hands him. Gotta love (and pray for) our exorcists!! They are one more reason we can be proud to be a member of the holyCatholic Church. Being able to recognize the actions in our lives that are driven by forces not of God is the first step. We can only see actions as temptations from hell if we realize there is a devil. And if there is a devil, that leads us to realizing there is a good God, and if we search a bit more, we can more perhaps easily come to the realization there must be a good God who loves us all more than we can comprehend and Who wants us to love and care for each other. God is good all the time!

@@steviecreighton5517youre reading a Bible that is not the full Bible and the version you do have is still a book given to you by the Catholic church. Google it “what church did Jesus start”. Open your Bible to Matthew 16 and read all of it. Meditate on Matthew 16:18. You can even go back to Matthew 7 24-27. Build your house on the rock and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. You've been taught lies and no where in the Bible does God reduce himself to a book that can be tampered. 7/4/23 13:00 This helps me understand forgiveness. “The devil lives in our wounds” As I write, I just recalled that it was on this day in 1990, I fled from a long marriage to an abusive husband. It was as if he were possessed. Getting back to The Sacraments strengthened & freed me. The horrible union was annulled THANK YOU GOD. I’m aware of the evil one. Now that I know he lives in our wounds, I’m healed & he must leave✝️🙏

I sort of grew up in the Catholic Church for a few years, mostly because my mom had her own struggles and we left the church when I was about eight years old. Anyway, in my 30s I became a nondenominational Christian. This talk has helped me to understand things I never knew. Very impactful and life-changing!!!❤❤❤

Wonderful teaching, Father Carlos! I've also found that Fr. Ripperger's book "Dominion" is also very helpful to understanding the authority structure and the natural law. The evil ones are legalists. They cannot do what Our Lord doesn't allow or what we don't permit by our falling into Mortal sin, especially sins against the natural law.

I did not realize Fr. Martins was in the Companions. I wonder if he and Fr. Mark Goring CC were in Houston at the same time. Them being brothers in the same order sure explains a lot about the super charismatic spirituality of Fr. Mark Goring. His YT channel is amazing! It is so awesome how God puts people in our paths to teach and strengthen us but yet each gets gifts to use in totally different ways, all for His Glory. Yay!!! Go CC's!! Go team Catholic!!

I endured trauma in my early years. Innocence was ripped from me by the time I was 8. The devil used that to warp my thoughts and my path, giving way to sin by convincing me that I was to blame, that I was so bad I would never be “good”. It took me another 30 years to believe that I was worth forgiveness and God’s love and grace. I have experienced firsthand things described here, not knowing that I was preyed upon. For those with similar thoughts and experiences, this fraud can only convince you of what you allow.

What an excellent teaching and I wish that all other pastors and preachers of other Christian denomination hears it too and learn how to really teach and not with the usual criticism against the church and it’s devotion, criticizing what they have no proper understanding, belittling the priests due to the scandals of other clergies. In other word a continual attack on the church to promote hatred among the faithful. The father talk is a great blessing.Thank you.
