Simple, If you want more housing change the bias "Landlord Tenant" courts, where it takes owners a year to remove bad tenants. Do that and available housing will sky rocket. Why do you think short term rentals are SOOOOOO appealing??????? Hint, it's not that owners are making so much more money, It's that owners aren't loosing their homes because of years of no rent from professional tenant thieves, enabled by the Landlord tenant courts. Also many small owners lost their homes because of the rent moratorium tyranny. Where's the conversation about that?

No, he wants to make it even harder on property owners. Apparently, if you were lucky enough to end up with a property that's more than 1 family - you owe it to the world to get nothing in exchange for space in your home.

Words taken right out of my mouth I have 11 empty places some I use to air bnb I miss the money but they will remain empty untill the city changes the rules on eviction took me 2 years no payment to remove non paying tenets it's a shame what this guy has done to NYC.

Is this a State of New York City, or a State of Adams speech? I was just notified that my property taxes yet again have been increased. They want ANOTHER $300.00 per quarter. Im glad he and everyone else is doing great. I have no choice but to put my home on the market and pray. It's a tale of two cities. The Rich, and the Pushed Out. This Administration is showering home-owners with debt.

Right? Oddly I never had rats obviously in my neighborhood. Now as soon as its dusk, they and their young are out dancing at my local park. Maybe Manhattan has less rats, I dunno. The changes in garbage do nothing if it takes more than 24 hours to get it picked up. It would go along way to teach people not to clean out their cars into the curb. Ive seen people do it, without even thinking about it, while only a few steps from their own garbage cans. I see kids do it, even though they have to walk by a garbage can on their way to class from lunch. Its ignorance, and no one is bothering to teach different. You know, this city doesnt have to tax us to death - they could just enforse the quality of life laws they already have to make money. Are the boroughs not part of this city?
