Best of perfume is the prophet's armpit's sweat... Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) used to come to our house and there was perspiration upon his body. My mother brought a bottle and began to pour the sweat in that. When Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) got up he said: Umm Sulaim, what is this that you are doing? Thereupon she said: That is your sweat which we mix in our perfume and it becomes the most fragrant perfume. حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْقَاسِمِ - عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ عِنْدَنَا فَعَرِقَ وَجَاءَتْ أُمِّي بِقَارُورَةٍ فَجَعَلَتْ تَسْلُتُ الْعَرَقَ فِيهَا فَاسْتَيْقَظَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ يَا أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ مَا هَذَا الَّذِي تَصْنَعِينَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَتْ هَذَا عَرَقُكَ نَجْعَلُهُ فِي طِيبِنَا وَهُوَ مِنْ أَطْيَبِ الطِّيبِ ‏.‏ Reference : Sahih Muslim 2331a

@@SAAI-em2gdmen should not resemble women and saffron is a female smell, there is a hadis about men using saffron. From seekersguidance, This and other traditions (ahadith) indicating the impermissibility of applying saffron are understood to be in the context of the colour of the saffron affecting a person. This was deemed problematic as it was the nature of women’s perfumes, namely, they left a mark. It may also have been due to the fact that it was deemed to be a perfume used by women, generally, and not men. In a context where the above detailing is no longer applicable, it would be permitted to wear a pure saffron perfume. Similarly, wearing bright coloured clothing is acceptable for men when it isn’t culturally deemed distinctively feminine. From islam q&a, It was narrated by al-Bukhaari in his Saheeh (5846) and Muslim in his Saheeh (2101) that Anas said: The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) forbade men to use saffron. At-Tirmidhi said: What is meant by it being disliked for a man to use saffron is for him to perfume himself with saffron. End quote from Sunan at-Tirmidhi (4/418) Imam ash-Shaafa‘i said: We do not allow men, under any circumstances, to use saffron, and if a man does use saffron, we instruct him to wash the saffron from his body. End quote from Ma‘rifat as-Sunan wa’l-Athaar (2/455) Ibn Hubayrah said: From this hadith, we learn that saffron is a perfume for women, and it is not a perfume for men. End quote from al-Ifsaah ‘an Ma‘aani as-Sihaah (5/261)
