Great interview, I love her sensibility, and her joyful expression… Thanks for sharing

She really didn't give much info about the whole country of Belize. I would like to know more about the other areas. I would also like to know what she and her partner do for a living in Belize.

Megan shares what she does in Belize with her husband. I'd like to dive into the more rural areas of Belize as well to give a fuller picture of the country. Thank you for this!

@adventurefreaksss that is something I'd like to know as well...thanks!

How would people handle ongoing medications they have in Canada and the US? Meghan sort of answered this question. She intimated that Belize doesn't have the medical infrastructure for older folks, who are not likely to be able to live like a local in Belize!

Can you use solar for electric?
@adventurefreaksss5 күн бұрын
Yes you can. You can set that up anywhere you live these days. Check out Blue Sky Sanctuary on KZbin, she lives off grid with solar!

If there is so much talk about Placencia or Spanish Lookout, why do we hear so much online about Mahogany and Secret Bay?

it seems like a nice country,but i don't think it would work out well for me.(even if i could afford to move there).i use a wheelchair and it's probably not wheelchair acessible.it's a a interesting video.i enjoyed it and learned some stuff.

She's great. She's also young. What about people in Belize who are expats who are in the older demographic and living in Belize or interested in living in Belize?

I do see Belize is a great option for retirees. Close to the US, affordable when it comes to US and Canada standards, and english speaking. It's a warm friendly culture and you can fish and scuba dive daily:).
@dovygoodguy12964 ай бұрын
@@adventurefreaksss But Meghan seemed to suggest that the older you get the more difficult it is to obtain the medical services you would need.

For one year no bank accounts so repeat tourists have to live in ATMs at the price of $1200 per person for one year?

Or you can pursue the retirement visa option where you have to show a 2000 income per month.

I Love & adore her personality..but only the "Rich" 100k+ a year can afford to live in Belize 🇧🇿..out of all your interviews over the years. Belize is 1 of the most expensive countries to live. Especially in Central & South America. Wish her all the best regardless..I'm sure she has investments in USA 🇺🇸.

Maybe on the tourist island part, but on the main land, it's actually cheap. My friend lives off of 15k USD which is 30K and is just fine. We're looking at the cayo district, theres 6 houese we want to look at when we're there. One of the properties for sale has 2 houses, 30+ acres for only $450k usd. Our house here in the states is on 5 acres, 1 house at 500k. Cost of food there on the mainland is a lot more doable than here in the states.

@@jayboogeymanYeah..these are the expats that ruin it for everyone else.

She makes it seem very expensive but the card at the end lists rent at $400 for a single person. $1015 per month is cheap...no?

@@Nunya37 yea i included rentals in belize city. You can find them in the city starting around that figure based on our research. Thank you for checking us out!
@jayboogeyman2 ай бұрын
@Nunya37 This is what my belize realtor told us. Dont live in belize city, its basically Detroit. If you move to the island with the expats and tourists' hot spots, its expensive. If you move inland, like the cayo district, its cheap. Common logic. Of course, you're not going to get a house that not "Americanized" and thats fine by me. Their houses are stunning and affordable.

@adventurefreaksss been racking my head for 2 years now. I even ask other if they want to start a business. Dont need alot of income if we move there. Just enough to live comfortably there and in the states for 4 months out of the year.

It is. Belize attracts a lot of attention due to its proximity to the US and Canada and it's English speaking. Thanks for checking us out!
