Maryland cops are like this for the most part. I was pulled over for going 80 in a 45 (it was an off ramp, and I had to speed up to merge because the guy in the lane sped up not letting me merge) and got pulled over. The officer smelled weed (friend had a roach in his pocket from the night before in NYC) and he said straight up "throw the roach away boys and we won't have a problem". He didn't even give me reckless, just a speeding ticket.

Ken Weed is much more subjective than alcohol. Anyone who's done both knows that alcohol messes with your coordination way more. Plus when you're drunk you get a little bit overconfident, when you're stoned you get more paranoid. I could not find my registration when he first walked up and continued to look for it when he went back to his car and when I disturbed it while looking through the center that's when the smell came pouring out and is why he did not detect it at first.
