I just realized that I have effortlessly graduated from the slow jam to the mid tempo jam! Playing along with these since COVID has really, really helped.

@@TylerGrant is the fast jam typical of campfire jams at festivals? My goal is to be able to jam at festivals. If I graduate to the fast jam and find I keep up there would it be reasonable to think I’m ready for a mainstream bluegrass festival jam? Until now I have only attended local slow jams and Wernick camps.

@@rebeccamouse9294 Hi Rebecca, you'll find slow/mid tempo jams everywhere. I like to be able to play the music the way it goes, and in Bluegrass some of it goes by at fast tempo. The end of the fast jam is professional level, but the early part of it in the tempo range from 120-130 is a good goal.

Before playing his version at 42:26 he says “it’s kind of a combination of the Tony Rice and the original Lightfoot version”. He knows who wrote it, buddy
