Difficult oral evidence as documentation given to him and his evidence from memory sometimes conflicted either to timing or whether he had ever seen/had access to some documents. As senior non-executive director for six years from 2016, why didn’t he press for a top lawyer to become a non-exec in 2016-19 in the run-up to the trials? Gobsmacking evidence that QC was finally appointed in 2021, 2 years AFTER the trial/judgements? Non-execs asleep at the wheel? there was no expert (QC level) legal presence as a non-exec. and until 2021 - right through the two trials, all advise came PO Counsel Jane MacLeod or a series of equally biased, very expensive QCs, advising that either the PO had a very good case or that the judge should be recuse himself. Only after the judgements was a new PO Council pointed plus completely different set of silks.

Poor Tolly Kellhurst, she is a nice lady and and was an excellent constituency MP but no-one I spoke to in Medway thought she was ministerial material. However, the conservatives were scraping the barrel by then and as someone brighter than either of us said "people get promoted to their level of incompetence".

Oh wondered what happened to her. I remember watching her destroyed on question time. She also Lied about supporting a local housing development being done largely under the table. In which she u turned and said she had always been against it after once local environmental groups and local people spoke up. She is awful at public speaking and was a car crash as a politician. Completely useless and ineffective. Politicians are lying and trying to pass the buck on this issue too but many are culpable too including Davey. I'm not surprised if she had anything to do with this that she messed that up too then lied about it.
