Corvett 6 straight since starting. Suggest that somethings wrong with the BOP. Chevy having a BOP advantage, say it isn't so.

@@konekillerking They’ve put more and more restrictions on the Vettes every round. I think the driver’s and strategy has just been so good for DXDT that they’ve been able to find great success

Sounds like a cope. C6,C7 & esp. C8 Vettes have always been great racecars. GM/Corvette have got really good at chassis engineering/tuning & handling. (Just look at C7 zr1/C8 Z06 VIR lightning Lap times & skidpad grip). Out of 300 cars & 17yrs of Car & Driver VIR lap times.. the C8 Z06 & C7 ZR1 manual are 4th & 5th? overall. (Got knocked down a few spots by a GT2rs, AMG GT Black & Senna). But they beat every Ferrari/Lambo/ most Mclarens/Porsches (including 918 spyder) & also the Ford GT. & they pull 1.20-1.22g of skidpad grip. (2nd place of all time) only beat by GT3rs. And even the 2+ ton Cadillac Blackwings & 1LE Camaro's pull 1.08g-1.18g on skidpad. Every modern GM sportscar has impressive handling/grip & lap times

This series has been a 90 minute long corvette commercial every race and IMSA/BOP isn’t really trying to hide it.

The driver lineup is miles ahead of the other full-season entries, that is what makes the difference.

Corvette seems to shine on the lower speed tracks with a lot of cornering.Big tracks with long straights, not so much.

"American cars cant handle/corner"😅 But just look at even the Corvette/GM street cars. (Car & Driver's VIR 'lightning lap' show the blistering lap times/handling of C7/C8 Vettes & 3,800-4,150lb Camaro's & Cadillacs. They all punch far above their weight/price. Out of 17 years & 300+ cars tested there.. C8 Z06 & C7 ZR1 manual are 4th & 5th? overall. Faster than every Ferrari/Lambo & most supercars (incl. the 918 spyder/Huracan Performante/Ford GT, 720s & most 911's). Only beat/knocked down by a GT2rs, AMG GT Black, & a Senna.

Nordschleife Production car lap records have the C7 Z06 down in ~38th even getting beat out by the 2010 Dodge Viper ACR. The last American track car that truly impressed me was the Viper ACR series and the 2017 model which still sits at #21 with a 7:01.3. There was an unofficial run for the C7 ZR1 but it only set a 7:04. Imo the C7 isn’t really comparable to the C8 chassis and balance wise as one is front engine and the other mid engine. Car and Drivers VIR “lighting laps” aren’t the best measurements of a cars overall track performance especially compared to something like the Nordschleife either. Wish GM would bring the C8 ZR1 to the Green Hell as I think it was do very well but would probably suffer with the suspension being softened from Z06 C8’s stiffer suspension albeit the ring is bumpy. Weight though might be an issue though with the car expected to be nearly 4000lbs while retaining rear wheel drive. I could see it getting a sub 7min though but not sure if it will really compete with the top dogs. Not to mention every top American car lap time set at the ring was on a one off specialty tire that isn’t actually something you could buy and only last one lap. Most every German car top is on a standard set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R’s.

Anybody with even a passing understanding of racecars would know that all of these modern racecars are really good at cornering, regardless of whether they are american or european or japanese. Which makes any "american cars are bad at cornering" comments even more stupid than usual.

Basically turned this series into a 90 minute corvette commercial. If it was Porsche or BMW doing this, the BOP would have saddled them with 100 kg after the first win. Great work IMSA/BOP 👎🏼
