The Saints should have won 11 games last year with a terrible offensive play caller. I really think everyone in the media is going to be surprised when this team wins 12 or more games. Reminder the Saints defense is still great and this offense can only be better than last year. The Saints were bottom of the league rushing last year this new offense absolutely is built to run the ball efficiently and often.

Atlanta is gambling on a 36 year old quarterback coming off an Achilles tendon injury. Think about this the timeline for a realistic Achilles recovery is 12 months and age matters. That means November so how good can Cousins actually even practice in July and August or play great in September. Quote from Cousins “I think the minute I would have to leave the pocket is where you would say ‘ Yeah, he’s still recovering from an Achilles.’

For the Pelicans the last couple years things are looking great, Zion looks like he's finally gonna be healthy all year, then he goes down and the team falls apart. A couple years ago the Pelicans are the #1 or #2 seed in the West, this is early, before the All Star break, but looking really good, then Zion goes down, they promptly lose 10 games in a row, end up failing to make the playoffs. Last year, Pelicans are the 4th seed in an absolutely stacked West, Zion looks like he's finally gonna stay healthy, then Zion goes down, team nosedives, has to fight through the play in tournament, gets absolutely smoked by the Thunder in the first round. I was so furious when they blew game 1 because I knew that was their only chance to get a win in the series. All in all, 49 wins is pretty good in a tough conference, but the way it ended is what leaves such a bad taste in the mouth. They were definitely not a 49 win team down the stretch.

Thanks for the answer on speak pipe I get where your coming from when speaking on expectations I will be ecstatic with winning the division but I do think we have a high chance for lightning in a bottle simply because of our unknowns on offense

No stat more useless than OTA or mini camp stats except of course strength of schedule. What if we changed that up and used the opening line of over/under win totals for each teams opponents to get a total number. I did the NFC and the results were slightly surprising. Atlanta was easiest at 128.5 Philadelphia had 133.5 New Orleans at 135.5 Almost everyone else came in between 143.5 and 145.6 with a couple outliers. But the highest total was Detroit at 154.5 Might not be the best thing to judge by but at least the oddsmakers try to be as close as they can.
