That's dangerous (forgiving parents without completely analysing their actions objectively) because then it excuses generational trauma and familial abuse which is rampant. Parents are forgiven too easily whereas children are barely excused their smallest mistakes even though parents are supposed to know better and children barely do. Parents ought to be held accountable. We need to be talking more about these things that have been normalised way too much. We need to help people break these cycles so they don't continue abuse and mislabel it as discipline and love
