[LIVE] Shiny Galarian Farfetch'd after 1,529 encounters in Pokémon Sword [Full odds]

My personal favourite Galarian form, unfortunately, doesn't have the best shiny in the world but I knew I had to have him anyway. I love this form and its evolution into Sirfetch'd makes up for it. He's super powerful in-game too!
I was so scared I wouldn't catch the sparkles and fail it but it's actually really noticeable. The route I used to hunt it on is honestly the best way. I tested it many times going into the daycare, away from the grass, doing a circle around the entire complex and nothing come close to this speed. I'm glad it was fast though.

Grats dude!!!!! While Farfetch'd's shiny is so hard to notice, Sirfetch'd is phenomenal! That's a nice way to reset encounters on this route. I'm curious to see how we can find out the most efficient ways to reset the encounters on every route as we hunt them. There might be something crazy out there like what was recently discovered for shaking grass patches in Unova!

The early information regarding this was a bit misleading. I believe it's a 15/16 chance of squares and a 1/16 chance of stars for wild encounters, but opposite odds for hatched pokemon. So squares are actually more common for wild encounters

RajaNaga no, that’s the case when you’re chaining a shiny, if it’s full odds without chaining and running away from Pokémon (not battling or catching) then it’s considered an Ultra Shiny which is rare as hell. If you’re chaining then yeah Ultra Shinies become way more common.

It's not... squares are pretty much the only thing you're ever gonna see out of wild battles, chained or not. the odds for stars in a wild shiny is uh... 1/over 4000... the chance the SHINY will have stars. That is literally insanely rare, the squares are the vast majority

Yes I keep things full odds. Below 50 in the dex (battled) is full odds. There is apparently a glitch related to the odds with the battle method. I suggest breeding it or keep going but you're hunting close to full odds iirc.

I was breeding my sirfetch'd from my playthrough masuda method and I got this shiny on my FIRST egg. Parent had a neutral nature so I didn't use everstone and it came out JOLLY. All perfect stats except defense but it's cool I'll get a bottlecap Funny thing is even though it was the first one I saw in a while I also noticed it right away

The star based ones are 15/16 chance coming from eggs, raid battles and whatever a static encounter is. The square ones are generally from random battles you do in the wild, with the same 15/16 chance.

I believe they're called "Ultra Shinies". It's apparently about a 1/65,000 chance to find one, so they're much rarer than a normal shiny. The only difference between the two is the square/hexagon shiny animation you mentioned insted of stars. Good job finding one!

Knocking a certain species out increases the encounter rate of that species for a few minutes. So for a hunt like this you should keep knocking them out. :>
