Live Shiny Rookidee, 2348 Overworld Encounters, Pokemon Sword Badge Quest #1

8th gen is here!
Now I'm going to try to make this badge quest as full odds as I can but I won't be avoiding trainer battles through my playthrough. Not entirely sure how the mechanics work with the shiny rates on this game.
So pleased to get my first shiny. Named after a sword from Game of Thrones which is probably fitting since I'm doing a Sword BQ.
There are so many great hunts to go for. I've already gone passed a few I would love to hunt as I've gone to the daycare to full odds egg hunt for Scorbunny.
I normally don't have great luck with the starters so wish me luck.

@@3lc0rr3A yeah he may not be a teacher anymore but his lessons will still remain. I still have a card with his picture on it and it's a constant reminder of how he went out of his way to ensure that I got a good education and I always think about those times whenever I see it.

Don't worry about the odds. It's 4096 until you've killed 50 of your given target and there is no chaining feature in this game despite what some method hunters still think lol. You're good! Congrats on the chickadee! Love the yellow.

so shiny pokemon dont appear shiny in the overworld like they do in the Lets Go Games. Interesting. Also thats a Ultra Shiny, a new variation of shiny thats actually rarer than a normal shiny. Nice job!

Nope, got to run into them to see the sparkles. Old school and I personally like it better this way. I don’t know what your source is but this isn’t an “ultra shiny”. Serebii has the mechanics and the odds written out for the variations of sparkles. These sparkles had a 4095/4096 chance of happening for me. Hope that helps.
