In earlier games I believe (without looking it up) it depended on if you were playing on your birthday thats set in the console settings. In S/V, I think it can appear at any time regardless of day based on a low random chance

The final point for Noki was lucky but the attempt to catch the seadra was mathematically correct. When mimik found it she had 3 options (fake-tos, fake-noki, real) which made her chances 2/3 fake 1/3 real. When tos showed up the odds changed to 50/50 for the real to fake.

Before Tos showed up, it was a 2/3 chance the game continues with a 1/3 chance the game ends. Tos' appearance changed the odds to 1/2 chance the game ends.

the funniest part about Tos throwing at the end is that when Mimik found it, it was a 50/50 shot to be Tos or Noki if it was fake, meaning the game might not end with a fake. However, once Tos showed up, it meant a fake HAD to be Noki, meaning a fake was guaranteed to end the game (unless Mimik tried the same strat Tos did with the Tyrogue.) Once Tos showed up, it was never going to be worth risking if it was fake or not haha.

Another Pokemon content creator, Shiny Catherine has done multiple videos of "hide and seek" in the Terarium. I don't know how much either of you are open to doing collabs but it would be neat to see you two guest on each other's videos since the ideas are similar but different. Collab or not this is a super cool idea. The fomo of missing a shiny makes it so hard to ignore a fake shiny even if it's obvious.

I've never played Scarlet and Violet. I refused to buy the game due to its _issues_ (because I don't like buying unfinished games), but honestly, there's some REALLY COOL stuff here! The amount of player expression (despite the limited wardrobe options) is kinda awesome. This kind of multiplayer interaction would not be possible in previous Pokemon games.
